Where to get Scotchgard Paint Protection Film?

Ok guys, i'm very close to getting a replacement for my 92 heritage that i lost a few months back. I'm not gonna spoil the surprise of what it is, i'll wait until i actually have it to do that, but its very very very far away from me and the trip home with it will be very long. I want to reduce or eliminate the chances of paintchips on this insanely long trip so i wanna get some scotchgard paint protection film to put on the hood. My question is, where do i buy this stuff?????

I won't tell you where to get it until you tell me what it is. Nah just joking.

But lie stevo said, not sure where you get it. Perhaps check with the 3M company and see who one of the distrubtors(spelling) may be.

Can't wait to see the car man.

i checked 3m's website and it seems that this stuff is more long term than i thought. Its supposed to be professionaly put on and from what i gather its probably a PITA to get off. I just want it for the long ride home to avoid paint chips on the hood. Certainly dont wanna buy an ugly *** bra just for the trip.

Any other options?

I don't remember exactly what brand it is, but Advance Auto Parts sells a temporary "spray on bra" in their paint section.. Supposed to be able to wash it off or something...

ohh now i know what your talking about...it was on my dads old mazda. I hated it, it was just a film of clear plastic or whatever. My dads car was white so like it had a shade of yellow to it, we got 1 section off and my dad called it quits he didnt want to hurt the paint and it was a royal pain in the *** to get off...

just get a bra for the ride home then you can take it off and do whatever you want from there but at least it wont all be chipped.
