Chrome polishing Question

I've been looking for a while now, and I've found thread after thread about polishing aluminum wheels, and I'm not sure if I should go about a different method for polishing my wheels. Mine are solid chrome, and if you look at the pic youll see what I mean. I tried a powerball, but that did nothing. Ill upload a better pic probably tommorow of the wheels up close. Any tips are appreciated!

Here's what I do for chrome wheel:
  • SOS pads ( I use them when I wash/they won't scratch & their cheap )
  • Never Dull (by eagle one) takes any water spots off left by wash & puts a great shine back on.

I use these products because they are very easy to use & cheap to buy.

I usually use Mother's chrome polish on my engine and some other cars' bumpers with the powerball. It works pretty well for me.

Pits and corrosion, even if you run a scratching wheel or buff over it all it will do is open the pits and corrosion up more..

So do I sand it with a fine grit and then re-finish it or am I screwed?
