I like the spoiled look. The third gen(and later second gen years for that matter) birds and camaros dont look quite complete due to such a long hatch/short trunk lid space, versus a HUGE hood. So for me....a spoiler, but like Mr. TurboTA says.....It is your choice and that is all that really matters.

yea remember that pic i posted of the bird that was lowered with no spoiler in my thread about my car? That looks awesome...low and mean as hell
For a camaro, you can easily have no spoiler and still look awesome. For a firebird, it just looks like something's missing but still looks ok. Maybe because the taillights don't wrap around like camaros do, I dont know. Its sort of like some of the older muscle cars that don't have a passenger side mirror.

Now put some big ol meats on the rear wheels!
There is something sinister about a Firechicken with big and littles and no spoiler. Look at Zepher's old videos, or even mw66nova's Camaro. You get the idea.

the only drag radials available for the 16" wheel is the 245/50/16 MT ET Street Radial (which is better than the other two) or BFG and Nitto have a 255/50/16.

I think thats the reason why i think those cars look so unique without the spoilers, I rarely see any of them without the spoilers, you got a no spoiler vote on me. Nice car

that's the only size available for the 16" wheel period. now for 15" wheels, it really opens up the options
235/60/15 ~26x8
275/50/15 ~26x10
275/60/15 ~28x9
325/50/15 ~28x13
295/65/15 ~29.5x12
315/60/15 ~29.5x13
for your combo, i wouldn't think that anything larger than a 235/60/15 would be needed, which you can run on a set of stock 15x7's. what's the gear ratio? i'm gonna say that you'll never need over a 26" tall tire until you really start putting power to the ground OR go with a taller gear. if you want more meat on the back than the 235's will give you, go with the 275/50/15 on a 15x10 weld (or the like) rim with 5.5"-6" of backspacing.
