Recently Changed Rims... sooo...

I was wondering what you all thought of the new rims on the car...

as well as overall thoughts on the looks of the car.

Please dont flame, but honest opinions are welcome good or negative.

thanks

I like the car, but why do you still have the A/C compressor on the car? Is that a 4th gen style spoiler? Overall it looks better with the new wheels.

i like the z06 wheels a thousand times better. great choice on changing them over.

the wing gets me though it looks good at certain angles but from other angles i dont like it at all. like front the side and from the front angled it looks good but in the shot of the wheel and the back end i dont like it. it definitely makes it unique though. i dont think i have seen another one like it b4.

never noticed the ghost flames till now i'm diggin the look. my only complaint is that you'd get rid of those junk flow-tech headers and run something that actually flows.

Thanks for all the comments fellas.

the Wifey wanted the c5zo6 chromes on her, thought they'd look better... i agree.. plus photos cant really do the wheels justice..

they are 18x9 up front wearing 265/35/zr18 Nitto NT555's and the back are 18x11 wearing 285/35/zr18 Nitto NT555's as well.

vbMike : thanks for the compliment on the engine bay. That was prep work for the gathering this year, but the carb broke and she didnt make it.

SammyCalderon : Not everyone does, and honestly the photos dont do it justice because i had to lighten it up so much.. You usually can barely even see it unless your looking close to it.

bingo : the AC Compressor is actually blocked off on the back cause I cant make up my mind if I want to keep the AC on the car or not. I did swap the box, but i havent decided either way yet.

Maroon 88 Iroc : Thanks for the compliments on the rims.. The wing is another one of those "it grows on you" or you love it or you hate it things. some people love some hate.. I personally dont think it would look good without my SS hood. I like how it lengthens the car though from the side profile. Ive had the spoiler on the car since 99 and have loved it ever since. Ive seen a few around, but none on a camaro.. The roundess i think is the only odd part about it.. the thirdgens sharp angles sometimes makes it look odd to some folks..

Luisote: I can see your point about the batmobile comment, but thats kind of why i liked it

MrDude_1 : come on man, on the other forum you were all about askin me to ride in my purple car.. why the change now? dont deny your inner purple child! j/k

And sammy as you requested.. here are more photos with the other rims :

with my stock 01 z28 rims :

with my old eagles :

with my 18" polished Aluminum Eagle 077's :

TO everyone who did post up that i didnt address : thanks for the comments they are appreciated!

You have wisdom beyond your years for the flow tech comment. I absolutely HATE them. I will replace them when I get more $...

but its 500.00 for the setup i want. and right now.. I am flaat broke.

The first set looks better to me but I still think the stock iroc wheels looks best on third gens. Wish I could find a good set.

I like both sets of rims, id prolly choose the z06s over the eagles though. Car looks beautiful i like all of it. I actually like the spoiler too i think ive seen one other camaro on this site that has it and i liked it on his car too.

One other thing i really like how you shaved all the emblems and smoothed the back bumper...its touches like that really makes your car stand out.

antennae.

thanks for the compliments.. it means alot from fellow enthusiasts.. much more than from just a joe bob down the skreet.

The new wheels are an improvement over the old, but the spoiler looks extremely out of place to me. $.02

I know that you weren't asking for other opinions, but I have to say I'm not a huge fan of your color, rear spoiler, and airbrushing. However, your new wheels are sick! I love my stock 16"s, but if I ever get another set, those will be what I go with! They look GREAT! No offense btw on the criticisms. Eveyone has they're own look. You have difinitley put a lot of $$$ in your ride. I'm sure there are people out there that would think my mods are lame too. I guess we ought to just appreciate our differences.

its cool, the color is stock, so not everyone likes it.. for some reason I seem to have a nack for getting rare colored camaros. The spoiler and airbrushing is something eitehr you like or dont, so its cool.. thanks for the compliments on the rims.. No offense was took, as i asked for both opinions, LIke I said before, its worth more coming from fellow enthusiasts than just average folks... Yea, ive put waaaaay too much money into it.. but thats life too.. not much you can do about it other than keep dumping it into her!!

[QUOTE=Stevo]I actually did not notice the sidemarkers were shaved, but the door handles and antenna i did. Looks great

Also Eric is this not a picture of ur car...?

It is, but that's a thirdgen spoiler.

The fourthgen spoiler looks okay from the rear, but weird from the side as it hangs over the end of the car about 5-6 inches. $.02

its cool. I choose the hang over the end for that reason. I like the hang over personally, it seems to stretch the car visually, to the point of making the car look low and sleeker to me. I do respect your opinion though!

Thanks again to everyone who posted up.. positive or constructive criticism.. it is appreciated.
