what do you think its worth?
my car has been "unofficially" appraised (by an appraiser, just not on paper) for about $6k, without knowing any engine, drivetrain, or suspension mods. its all just based on looks. im running into financial problems and am (shoot me) tossing around the idea of putting her up for sale. go to my cardomain site to see everything ive done, but what do you all think as far as a price for her? the lil stuff you cant see from the site is: normal daily driving road crap on the front bumper, lil paint spider on the rear bumper (about 3in diameter) and the dash pad is split on the driver side. any other questions, ask.
thanks to all

A mint 13000 mile 84 Z just sold in my area for 6000.00 & she had it on the market for 6 months starting at 7500.00.
Your "unofficial appraisal" was just that. Good luck with the sale though, hope things get better for ya.

im sorry, i thought it posted. here it is
1988 Chevrolet Camaro - David's Chevrolet
and im not trying to brag or anything, but the person who appraised the car is well known in west michigan. my grandpa knows him and has worked w/ him on and off throughout the years. and it was just a quick 5 min ballpark appraisal, but thats what he guessed based on what he saw. and ill trust his judgement, hes appraised many cars worth way over $90,000. but again, im just going on what the majority thinks its worth. and now theres the site, what does everyone think??

First off. you did some great work on that car there It looks good.
however, I must say, getting that much for a 6cyl 3rd gen is going to be real tough. I have a feeling its going to be worth more for you to keep it than sell it.

that looks to be some good work. my car was a v6 car to begin with.
just to be honest when people are looking for these cars and are willing to spend the big dough it goes ls1 lt1 then tpi
See what you dont understand is the reason cars like a 69 camaro is worth so much.
the people with the money, 40-60 yr olds grew up with those cars and want to revisit there childhood
everyone who knows how to build these cars hold on to your hats I think within the next ten years these cars are going to increase in value big time.
unfortunatly the v6 cars with a v6 still in them will not be worth much
I think that the shell of a v-6 car with a fresh v8 in it will be worth tons of money because it has not been twisted but a torqey tpi motor for 20 some odd years.
6k I think in the back of your mind you know that its a stretch
Prove us all wrong, we all need to see a extreame rise in the price of our cars

of course all it takes is finding someone who wants it, as an example I bought mine for 7k... so out there is someone just as crazy for a 3rd gen it took the guy selling it several months to find a sucke...err "enthusiast" like me to pay it though

there's a 91z back home w/ 27k on the clock...owner is trying to sell it for 15.5k
I mean, its gorgous, but come on...almost 16k for a 15 yr-old 3rd gen?

I have 2 in REALLY good shape and can't dump one of them. So, I'd never buy an American car again for this reason- my coworker sold his wife's Toyota van for 7k easy, 1998. What does that tell you on these cars. Andy

just think, if you sell your car now, and have to get another one down the road, you'll probably end up paying more for a car that isn't as nice as the one you have now.
plus, you've added your own touch, and its your car!
