I bought the rear end about 10 years ago. With shipping and all, I think it was around $1700. Check with Currie about current prices though, they have different optioins that effect the price.
Thanks for the compliments, it has taken me over a year to just get the car to this point. Wish I had more time to work on it.
I'm hoping this time next year to have the new interior done, I'm just going to restore the current stock type. Might add some grey 'birds' into the red in a couple places will be the only mods.

how do you like the megashifter, does it work well, how hard was it to put in. once again great looking ride, your driver seat looks like mine lol. looks like you got a great deal on the currie, last time i looked the rear alone with no brakes and no 3rd member was $1500 at summit, plus 500 for brakes, plus 1400 or so for the third member, damn that hurts!

When I restore the interior, I'm going to figure out a way of putting the monster tach in the dash. I don't really like it where it is now, but the goal was to get the car up and running for some enjoyment this year.
I really like the Currie unit, it works flawless. It's a good piece.
I would like to drop the car about an inch to keep a little bit of ground clearance. When I put the new wheels and tires on it made the gap between the wheelwell look bigger for some reason, even though the overall tire hieght is the same. Lowering it is pretty far down the list, as I want to get other parts of the car done first.
The thing I like most about the car that I can't show is the way it drives now. I rebuilt the whole front suspension and it drives better than new. Car goes straight down the road with no pull to one side or anything.
Hopefully next year I can get some body work done and fresh paint. Car will be disassemblied for that though.
Thanks for the compliments guys, I can't describe how much effort and work has went into this car so far. Wish I could find some time to fininsh it.
As for the Mega Shifter, it works great! The physical install isn't bad, just some of the wiring sucked. I do like it though, especially with the manual shift transmission

What lowering springs are those? I like that look a lot, I want to lower it but don't want it too low to the ground.
Thanks, nice car.
