My 86 z28 iroc is comming together!
So i started off with a beater or damn near that. 500 bucks got me a camaro not running very good and ugly. but the pros and why i bought it are the body might not be pretty but is straight, and it was a 305 z28 iroc-z couldnt pass this one up for the price. So now it runs like a champ with a edelbrok 650 the holly 600 was fried on it(shootin fuel everywhere), full tune up which helped alot and ajusted the carb and timing!!! Easy as that for the engine. I started the car with a pair of vice grips, that was fun for a while but a key sounded beter so i pulled the colum and put a new one in and also installed new door locks. and a sterior now that its lockable
.TOday i just picked up a set of really nice stock 15's the 5 star design from the earlyer camaro iroc/z28's so ill have those on tommorw. SO thats where my project is at it needs another steering column it dosent have the hi beam puch rod and the wiper switch is not working. I just put in a new heater core now to so i have heat and the blower motor never worked but i got that going too. SO its all comming together i should be doing all the body work on in in the next month or 2! Finally! SO thats my speal!

hard to beat for that price! looks pretty good with the new wheels...it sucks to have to build a car slowly...heck, take a look at mine, its been two years since I started....

Looking good so far. I can feel you on the $500 thing, I bought both of my Camaros for that price, and neither one ran at the time of purchase. It can nickel and dime you, but it will be worth it in the end, IMO. Don't give up on it.
Those wheels are a nice improvement compared to what was on there. Later on after you do a lot of your major exterior restoration, pick up the original 85-87 16 inch IROCs, they'd set it off.

its been 2 yrs due to times getting a little rough, at the time of starting I had good business going but I sold it to start somethin new and that meant i had to put the car on hold for a while, but its all for the best in the end....at least I just got a '92 DD so I still get to enjoy driving a camaro...anyway, keep up the good work

And why would he primer the car if he's not going to paint it anytime soon? If the primer look was what he was going for or something I could understand, but either way primered or faded red, it's still a car that needs a paint job. Also, if you think you can prime it and drive it for nights and days then just spray some paint on it when you have the cash, you're wrong. The first night it sits out and moisture gets to it, it already needs to be re-primered.

Yea i was going to primer it but then thats just more ill have to sand off and redo but im in washington and all it does for like 6 more months is rain and snow. But I should have it painted in like 2-3 months is my goal.
Yea i might go with 16's eventually i realy like this style of 15" tho but there just going to be fall-mid spring rims after i get some 18's so less money i have to spend is better.
