"SS" logo, what font ?

Patched up my '83 fiberglass Z28 hood today, sanding it this week, repainting it, and hopefully putting it on my babe this Saturday.

I'm thinking of going with a combo of traditional stripes and the stripe/Z28 lettering graphics of the '74 Z28's.

However Z28 on my car would look .. dumb.. even though it looks more like a Z than a RS nowadays anyway ... anyway.. what font is used for the SS letters ?

Writing Rally Sport or RS as a huge logo, naaah not for me

What years? You mean traditional "SS" letters?

...I'm not sure it's an actual "font" per se,although there's gotta be TONS that are close.

If you get me a straight on, close-up shot, I'll get you an EPS/vector file for someone to cut some graphics for ya.

OH, wait. You're a Dallas fan. Nevermind.

I also have to figure out which of these ways I should paint it:

1) Body color (teal) and black satin

2) Body color, black satin, and white

3) Body color, black satin, silver or light grey

4) Real extreme, body color, black satin and .. silver flakes

I was thinking of doing two, not three, stripes. The center section, the part that goes right between the louvers on the Z28 hood, would be the middle part between the stripes.

Yeah the white part doesn't really do it for me either ... it looks just a bit too much like "peel off and slap on that sticker"

But black on bodypaint color, maybe even "ghost" color, or black marble, would look quite interesting.

But back to the no.1 question, I need to find out how I can make stencils or whatever, for the SS logo.

Thanks for the link, JLWEST, unfortunately not quite what I was looking for, still interesting though. The SS letters, but made to look like the stock RS letters
