so we answer so many questions that you guys have shut your brains off and just type before you think
call an autoparts store and ask what the size of the headlight that fits your car is
I dont mean to be an A hole but I would like to read about a challenging questions that may take a few of us to answer but I click and get this
if you need some info about the conversion you can pm me with good questions and i will be more than happy to help
first tip- without running a relay you cannot run the high voltage bulbs

I think maros run the 4x6.... but you should find out the bulb number, then get the corresponding conversion.
Im getting ready to install a TRUE HID kit into my 87 TA.
"first tip- without running a relay you cannot run the high voltage bulbs"
IF he is in fact going to run true HID bulbs, the power consumption isnt that great. And the bulbs are usually lower wattage than stock halogen bulbs. I dont plan to upgrade my wiring at all. If I was putting in higher wattage bulbs, then yes. Heavy gauge wire and relays would be my plan.
That said...You gotta watch what you do with a true HID kit. To make it work properly, you should have projector lenses. They give the light a "cut-off" so that you dont blind on coming traffic. They make some projector style conversions in H4 housings in all sorts of sizes. Look on ebay. Even these projector conversion housings need some modification to work though. The projector lenses are just sort of floating in the housing. You need a way to enclose the bulb so that all of the light goes through the projector lens. I have a plan for that, and plan to do a full write up when I get into it. Im waitin for my bulbs now.
You can run them with standard housings, but you really need to aim them carefully, or else you will blind everyone else on the road.
That help ya any?? If you have any more questions post em up.

I just bought some housings off eBay and the APC 4 light harness then re-pinned the connectors to match the wires. I also had to cut the backs out of the metal pieces that hold the headlight. If you use regular H4 bulbs it is HIGHLY suggested that you buy that harness or the bulbs will fry your stock wiring and headlight switch. I bought a true HID kit from ledgauges.com that I'll be putting on after Christmas. If you go that route then the stock wiring will be fine since those use half the power of the stockers.

Bingo... ledgauges.com Thats where I got my set from. Nathan is an awesome guy to deal with. They are nice kits as well. I dont expect to have to cut anything off the back of my housings. Then again, camaro housings are smaller. So they probably arent as deep. The HID kit I ordered were the H4 6000k ones. Im hoping they more or less fit in the housings.
For the projector housings...Im going to try to take them apart, and make a cylinder to encase the light, so that it all goes through the lens. Then seal it back up. Those projector conversions from ebay are cheap enough, if it doesnt work....trash can.
