how do I clean the entire engine bay

When i bought the car it had a long term oil leak that was caused by some *** pirate not tightening everything down right when they finished working. Anyway this retarded lady i bought the car from never thought leaking oil was a problem and just kept addiong more so theres no damage just a big mess. Everything is covered in oil except for the parts ive replaced. I was wondering what the best way to get all of this oil off is. My friend has a power washer but i dont know what i can and cant power wash really because i cant see what i cant maess up with a power washer. I heard grease lightning works really well but i dont really feel like climbing into the enigne bay to get all of those hard to reach areas. If i have to i will but its not on my lst of things to do before i die.

Thats what I would do, get a gallon of grease lighting and soak it down. It helps to get the motor a little warm before you start spraying. Then let it sit for a little bit but keep soaking it.....then take the powerwasher to it! Your not going to get 100% of it unless you pull the motor out. So just do the best you can. Just make sure where your car is parked.....you dont mind it getting all dirty.

yep..my car had a oil leak for over a year before i decided to fix it. the underneath of the car was covered in oil. nasty stuff.

i just put the car up on stands, and went under there and soaked it in engine bright degreaser. took several cans to it. Then i powerwashed the crap out of it. haha. it worked very well, but some didnt come off. so i repeated the steps and in some places i took a scrub brush to it. the car came out pretty clean, and i still have some spots i'd like to redo. but it came out clean

i would just be alittle nervoous spraying down an entire engine tho.... powerwashers have very high pressure sprays and i just dont like the idea of the electrical stuff being around that.
