Car show flooring - what are they using?
Anyone here able to offer assistance on figuring out what these people are using for the checkerboard looking flooring for these car cars?
I would assume tiles but it looks like 1 giant piece. I don't see any indications of multiple pieces.. And what would these be?

I'm willing to bet its a big peice of lenolium <sp?> that you can get at just about any major hardware store, or carpeting store. Basicly wherever you get lenolium.
Notice the duct tape aroudn the edges holding it flat. then when they are done they just roll it up and put it in the trailor or i guess in the car if you were carefull about it. The stuff looks really good once it goes down but its not going to hold up to anything much more than rolling the car onto it. On the bright side its easy to replace if it gets damaged!

as stated above it could be one piece, but having traveled the show circuit for many years I've seen many lay down individual squares in the checkerboard pattern. It all depends on the space you have available to store the material. Both displays looked to be 10x20's.
I used carpet as did most everyone else with circuit cars.

i know what your talking about. There is a magazine called "Groits Garage" that carries all of that stuff....kind of expensive though. I made some "tire mats" a few years ago for car shows, here are what they looked liked:

I haven't used them in forever...I think I still have them somwhere

I just bought a roll of linolium and cut them out to fit each tire. The squares were kind of big...but I couldn't find anything smaller.
