Your Opinion Please

For my graduation present, my parents are thinking about buying me a paint job. My car right now is a Hawian Orchid 92 r.s. I have always loved dark hunter green f-bodys and just would like some input as to what you guys think. I need to look at the pro's and the con's.

Of course, changing colors is going to be more expensive for Mom and Dad. Take a look at some of the picture posts and some of the guys' web pages and get some ideas of what you like. After all, you have to satisfy yourself first.

I'd say... GO FOR YELLOW Maybe a canary yellow, or daytona yelow, or Ford Bright Chrome Yellow. If you've ever seen the mean yellow z you will know what I'm talking about. I love having a yellow car. I can always find it at the mall, and it makes a great conversation starter. But its your car and you do what you want.

EDIT: Maybe this will help you decide

Better get your wheels polished too, because dark green goes really good with gold,or chrome.

Definately go with dark hunter green. Why? Because that is what you have always loved. If you get a color you're not 100% happy with, you will always wonder if you shoulda gone with the green. Who cares what other people think? I think deep metallic green looks great on a third gen, but youre always gonna get opinions from both sides. Go with what you feel TOTALLY comfortable with.

This is the VERY dark green metallic (not a regular metallic, but still) that I had my second gen painted in:

Green is good, One bad thing is the paint is expensive if you need touchup espically if its metallic. Dark Green Metallic

hey MEANYELLOW Z doesnt have his car anymore. he is working on a 1985 IROC that he is painting the same CHROME YELLOW. it will look soo awesome. the car is in primer right now, but he will be starting as soon as he sells his 2001 S10 Extreme.

living by him is great. we just go to his house and chill and talk about what we WANT to do to our cars when we get the money!!

have fun. and dont worry about resale value. it matters on what your car is worth to you!! and paint it whatever color you want!!
