VHT Niteshade + Front Side Markers = Red front side markers when lit. Want yellow...

I think the VHT niteshade has some red in it or it makes the front side markers so dark they look red when lit up. I want them yellow just so they appear legal at night. Anyone else had this problem? I think the way to fix it would be to get clear front side markers, vht niteshade them, then use yellow led bulbs but i'm not sure if it would do the same thing they are doing now. I would rather buy a brighter bulb or something. I also have them tinted about as dark as black paint.

Another thing I noticed is if I take off a tinted side marker, hold it against a regular light bulb - it shines red light through. Hold it against a floroucent light, it shines yellow but very faintly. Maybe a LED bulb would be enough.

I found a easy solution.

On my 86, the front side markers are orange and light up red with niteshade on them.

On my 92, they are yellow. So, I niteshaded the 92 front side markers and they light up yellow or orange.

Looks like my 86 just needs the yellow side markers or ones from about a 92.

I used led's in my markers, and they still light up yellow. Mine are pretty damn dark, so I had to use the led's.

If you put in LEDs, you have to put in different flashers too, right?

You know, I did not put flashers in after those leds, and they flashed fine. I recently put leds in the front t/s and now I will need to get the flashers
