Does anybody have any thoughts about reclearing the rims after polishing?I mean the factory must have put clear on for a good reason.I live in canada and there is residual salt and sand on the roads probabaly 8 months a year up here, long after the winter is over.Would just a regualar polish without new clear last?

If you polish them regularly you should be fine. Or you could chrome them!!

I have clear powdercoated a ton of crotchrocket rims.

I'll powder coat the centers and polish the lips and then clear the complete rim. Looks awesome and you don't have to worry about polishing again.

or just use ZOOP SEAL. if you don't want to spend the $ on that just use some carnuba wax now and then after you touch em up.

I am buying some rims that are polished. I really don't want to go through the trouble of polishing ever time I wash. Can I just take the rims to my body shop for a shot of clear or is there a step I need to do before putting the clear on. I too live in a salt area that will be on the road until at least the April rains.
