Warm Weather Plus New Paint = PHOTOSHOOT TIME!!! 56k Beware

Well,

Now that the weather has finally warmed up, and a bad dent in the right fender got fixed, along with getting my front bumper repainted... it's time to break out the camera..

PLEASE RIGHT CLICK AND PRESS "VIEW IMAGE" FOR THE BEST QUALITY...TGO RESIZING SUCKS!!!!

The right fender, the passenger door, the whole front bumper, and about 3/4 of the hood have a 2 day old paint job, cant believe how good it turned out.

TELL ME WHAT YOU ALL THINK

800x600 is plenty large enough. the max size had been increased. resize them then edit the resized pics in

It's not often that I see another Gunmetal F-Body. Love the color, can't wait to get mine repainted. I wanted to open a thread just for gunmetal cars but I hate those threads asking for a certain color car.

Be honest now. Is it not a great feeling to come outside and look at your car and have no dings, dents, all matching paint and a clear shineto boot.

I love your car and I am more of a Camaro guy.

If you are like me then everyday is a good day because no dings and dents is so much fun.

look sharp man, really like the color.

haha maybe a dumb question here but why did you only paint 3/4 of the hood? why not just do the whole thing. but looks like a real good job of blending.

Lol, not really sure as to why only 3/4 of the hood got painted, It was all part of the blending process I guess..

I know, that's why I posted it
My car is more or less a 10 footer. It looks nice from far away, but once you start getting close you can see a bit of clear coat peeling, especially on the passenger side sail panel and along the tops of the back fenders. From a ways away, she looks real nice...not so much close up.

It's good for original paint on a 85, though. Paid $1995 for it early December, with 68,800 original miles.

yay, more members of the gunmetal club. i just got new rims and drop springs for mine, wasnt sure if tint would look right against the gray. looks good though. what percent is that. we should start a gunmetal post. ill have new pics next week, hopefully with the drop springs on.

the new pics will be much better, that was just quickly with my cell camera.

I'd like to see more gunmetal cars, but don't open up a new thread. There is somewhere like the VBGarage we can post them up in.

Re: Warm Weather Plus New Paint = PHOTOSHOOT TIME!!! 56k Beware

im glad there arent that many gunmetal cars. although sometimes i cannot tell what will look good on them, cause i never see any. like im never sure if clear corners and clear parking lights would look good against a subtle color like gunmetal and thought maybe blacking them out would look better. also certain hoods youll only see on like red or black cars. it kinda gets annoying. i wanna know what clear lights, blackouts, tints, certain hoods, and other body mods would look like with a gray car.

You'll know soon I hope, I plan on either Gunmetal or Charcoal paint, black bird emblems on the nose and sailpanels, black rims with polished lip, dark tinted window, blackout tails and sidemarkers.
