Iroc rims

I hope this is the place to do this, but, what is the deal with Iroc rims. They either have two stripes or one. Are the 1 stripe 16 inch ? or are the 15's ? Mine are 16's, so what's up ?

Re: Iroc rims

1 stripe = 1985-1987 IROC-Z rim.
2 stripes = 1988-1990 IROC-Z rim.

[edit] Starting in 1989, you could get a IROC-Z rim in 15 or 16 inch. (Thanks Jim85IROC) [/edit]

Re: Iroc rims

close. The 88 15" IROC wheels were the "Z28" style. They didn't have the mini IROC style wheels until 89.

I ordered an 88 IROC new and could have sworn that you could get the IROC wheel in both 15" and 16" starting that year. hmmm....

You could get an 88 IROC with a 15" wheel, but it looked like the regular Z28 wheel.

BUT unlike the z28, the 88 15" wheel had a silver plastic center instead of black... like my 88 Iroc I had a few years ago..

If that is an 88, why is the IROC-Z decal towards the front of the door instead of the back? Repainted maybe?
Not knocking the car, it is sweet..... I had a red 88 too.
