Where did you install hood pins?
So I really need to install hood pins on my car. My harwood hood shakes alot while im driving on the parkway (40 minute-hour pretty much any where I go) and considering the only thing keeping it down is the factory latch, im afraid its going to fly off the car, especially with that huge gap in the front theres alot of air getting under it. That being said, where did you guys install the pins at? Did anyone just remove the bump stop things under there and install them there? I don't want them to be too far off to the side close to the fender, so that seems like a good place I guess?
Any tips on ensuring I drill the holes in the hood accurately? I was thinking of just installing the pins in the frame then putting some kinda grease on top of them and putting the hood down..
Any tips would be helpful!
Thanks

The way i drilled my hood was i put some painters tape on the underside and set it on the pins and pushed down, It pushed in the tape and i just drilled there, have done it with a few hoods. Pins fall in the hole perfect.

I put them in the core support towards the inside pf the bump stops.
Here's a pic

From the outside it looks like this.

To drill the hood..
I put pin studs in the core support, put a dab of white out on the tops of the pin studs, closed hood down on them, lifted hooh up, wiped the white out off the pins... Then drilled from the bottom of hood up, where the white out had left marks on hood at.
Closed hood, placed scuff placed over pin studs, moved scuff plates around where I wanted them.. Put the hair pin clips in. Used a cordless drill/driver to screw in the self tapping screws to hole scuff plates down to hood.
