All cleaned up for the track= PICS

Well yesterday took the Camaro to the drag strip at Bandimere speedway. I had her all washed up, so I took some pics before I drove down early in the morning. Thought I would share them with you all!!

Before the track... Sunrise pics

Here she is at the track...

Thanks to my camera woman for taking all the pics at the track while I was doing work!!!!

Re: All cleaned up for the track= PICS

Thanks guys!!! The car ran well at the track, not the best she has ran, but the best with this wheel and tire combo.

Best of the day was a 15.293 @ 90.25mph with 2.3 60'.... Before you go telling me my car is slow remember that I am at 5280 ft elevation.

all 305 are slow, but hey, youd be running mid 14's at any decent elevation track, i know a guy that run at bandmere with a 99 trans am WS6, he runs 11's, with a 550RWHP engine, but would be in the 10's at other tracks

12 pd's of boost wouldnt hurt.

Re: All cleaned up for the track= PICS

Yeah I need to get some sticky tires, and that should put into the 14's up here pretty easy. The best she has run on my old set of Zr1's was 15.02, and with a conversion calulator someone showed me it should run 13.89 at sea level... I'm pretty sure I would have even bigger traction problems at lower elevation though.

Boost would be cool, but I need more dough for that

Re: All cleaned up for the track= PICS

with some more launch practice you should be able to hit the 14's. a 2.3 60' is slow even for a fwd car. i cut a 2.09 60' with my stock lb9 auto and ran a 15.400 at 86.

Re: All cleaned up for the track= PICS

I have plans to help improve traction. Mainly I am going to get a pair of 295/35 Bfg G-force Drag radials, Lca reloc. brackets, and get subframe connectors (which I should have got a long time ago). That should make a big difference.

As far as the paint goes, I had plans and an appointment to get the stripes and accents painted satin black to give it a "meaner" look, but my painter WON'T let me change it. I get compliments on the teal all the time, and probably won't end up changing it... Since my painter is making me think about it untill his schuedle opens up (who knows when that will be).

Thanks again for ALL the compliments, I appriceate it!!!

i'm actually thinking that the 1.84 intake valve might be the trick though. keeping shrouding to a minimal. this is the size valve that stock eliminator guys have to run and is what i ran on my first combo that went 13.0's

no idea honestly, I had $600 into the whole motor when I was done and just bought the carb and nitrous kit and took it to the track to make some money.
