Ordered Amber LEDs For My Parking Lights...

If these don't make my GTA's parking lights stand out, then I dont know what will...

I have Silverstars that burn amber in there now, and those are pretty bright, but with 45 amber LEDs in one bulb shining off the chrome reflectors, it should hopefully be no competition between the two.

There are 36 LED's all around the sides, and 9 on top, all WIDE-ANGLED, so no spotty look.....hopefully, i'll post pictures of them installed.

Sounds like a good plan. Hopefully it works out, I also want that intense amber glow on my car- kinda like the 4th gen's and vettes have.

If these turn out to be really, really bright, and not spotty looking, then I will soon be getting 6 more of the same bulbs...in red, for my tail lights

Cool man, just be sure to post up pics when it's all done. I want to do this for my third brake light as well as the stock bulb setup tends to melt the lense. I just picked up a new lense and the led bulbs put off less heat, I'm just waiting to confirm on there being a bright enough bulb to do it.

Re: Ordered Amber LEDs For My Parking Lights...

Are those for your turnsignals as well?? LED's won't work with your factory flasher, not enough resistance. You can add an inline resistor, or buy LED specific flashers, But I had bad luck with the LED flashers.

I bought very similar bulbs and was not as impressed as I thought that I would be... little disappointed for the amount of money that those multiple LED bulbs cost.

Post pics when you are done... GOOD LUCK!!

BADNBLK-

How have you had bad luck with the LED flashers?

I went crazy and orderd every bulb in my car for LED. I used some very similar to the ones described above, and they may have been a little brighter, but not really a huge difference ( was going for the 4th gen brightness). I soon found that they do NOT flash with a standard flasher. I talked with my supplier and recommended either installing inline resistors to the circuit at each bulb, or install a $15 flasher for each the TS , and Hazard flashers. I opted for the flashers (not much into cutting factory wiring... if I don't have to). Installed both and still NO flash, talked with them again and they said it a generic amount of resistance added to each flasher, and some circuits require more, and I would have to add a resistor to the circuit. NO way, for the amount of additional lighting, so I removed the LED from the turnsignals, and left them in the rest.

Not really bad luck, just not enough research before buying stuff!!!

Superbrightleds.com has LED flasher units. http://www.superbrightleds.com/tail-brake-turn.html

Did the LED bulbs you bought look better than the stockers?

In my front TS housings they did not appear brighter, but they did make the whole housing fill with light better than standard filament. There was a difference just not as much as I had hoped for... especially for PITA that it would have been to make it work.

I looked at the LED flasher linked above and it appears to be the same ones as I installed. The resistor kits they showed is what they were telling me I needed to install inline to each bulb to make function correctly.
