Re: Engine clean up

Do you mean actually cleaning up by using degreasers/chemicals? Or do you mean give an engine bay a clean look by removing/hiding stuff like wires?

Re: Engine clean up

o no doubt hiding and removing without harming. degreasing and using chemicals is a must when you live around here and everyone wants to see the engine not what the engine can do...im more for doing than showing but if they want a show i want to give them a good one so i wanna remove hide stuff.

Re: Engine clean up

Start by removing stuff you don't need if you can live without it.

Remove the washer jug and all of the hoses going to/from it.
Remove cruise control and all of the wires/hoses/lines for it.
Remove A/C if your area never sees hot weather or if you never drive it in extremely hot weather.

Remove the big overflow tank and get a small coolant overflow tank from summitracing/jegs. Then locate it in the nose, in front of the radiator, where it can't be seen.

Thats some basic stuff.

Re: Engine clean up

thank you very much. i bought a cheap open element and it was too big so i relocated my coil to the farthest left bolt that holds the windshield wiper motor and ran a wire from the ground strip on the pass side to the back of the coil to assure a good ground. it look ok. then i thought, hey why not relocated that heater valve farther back out of the way, in the middle of this i snapped one of the nipples off of the valve, so i grabbed a copper T and just ran all of the lines to this.

May I see pictures of the coil relocation? I have a 1.25 drop base and it just sits on my coil. if it were .25 lower then I'd be fine. Let me know...thanks.

P.S. I might buy the .875 drop base and the non drop no rasied base and the .5 raised base

So this way I have all possibilities to change it up.

PICTURES!!!
