Which brand of polishes are you planning on using? Not all polishes behave quite the same with all brands of pads.

I went with Autopia. I did check out Auto Geeks and bought their headlight restoration kit from Wolfgang. (NOT for the Camaro.) I decided on the Sonus pads.

Which polish/polishes are you using? It might sound funny but different polishes work better with certain pads, or at least work "differently" with different pads.

Re: Polishing pads for porter cable

Thanks for the reply Mike. I am still kicking that question around in my head. I have been using Zaino for about 3 years ...but I am starting to notice spider web type marks. The last time I did a complete top to bottom polish was 4 years ago I used Griots fine hand polish. It was really hard to get off...and left lots of powder. I got this porter cable polisher last year as a gift. Any suggestions?

I'm not a Zaino fan (just a personal preference thing, not looking to start a big debate) but since you've been using it for so long and, I assume, like the product, you might want to give their ZPC polish a shot. It's designed to work with the Porter Cable and actually does a great job of removing swirls and other defects, not just covering them up like the traditional Zaino sealant does. I don't know about dusting or ease of removal, but I haven't heard anything real negative in this regard.
