It all depends on what kind of paint job you want. You can get one from as little as 250$ to I don't even know how much, 10,000$ probbably.

What si the car gonna be used for; shows, daily driver?

Yeah really depends on what kind of job you're looking at and how much body work needs to be done. Mine ended up costing me around $2300 in labor and painting materials, and that was with a friend of the family's doing the work. Add to that about a grand in replacement body parts that I bought seperately.

Lottsa variables.

i am spending $4,000 for mine, and i am getting a deal, yeah i have some dents and stuff but nothing to bad he said.
that also includes my new fenders that i bought from GM at cost, i work at the car lot so i get a discount!!
and i am painting mine GM BRIGHT RED ALSO, the same as it came stock.

dont go with anything cheap, go with what will please you, then save for that, or take out a loan! whichever you please!

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

I have two dings in my red '88 GTA and I was quoted a price of $2,000 for a show-quality all-over paint job at a local shop owned by a friend of mine. And it is Code 81 Bright Red too.....

yeah but is your car being stripped. it matters on the prepping also. my fiberglass bumpers and ground fx are all being stripped bare, and most of the body panels are also, and this is not masking anything, everything is being dismantled, ex.. window trim, gas door, seals, and stuff.. its gonna be perfect.

oh well. go for it if you can get if for 2500. i wish i could!

I spent $9,000 on mine; could have spent more........just depends on what you want and are budgeted for........a average stock repaint with little body work should go for $3,500 to $5,500 depending on the type of work!
