Car Polish
Now i was just wondering what polish/wax other people use? And how they liked it? Then what was so great about it? I myself detail cars at work and i use Liquid Glass wax. Now what about you other people?

Re: Car Polish
i like to use the ICE polish and then use meguiars synthetic tech wax. the polish is easy to use and u can get it on rubber/plastic with no white residue and the tech wax has always been real easy to wipe off after sitting on the car a while.

Re: Car Polish
Personally, I like and use Zanio. Ive tried everything under the sun, but there something about Z and its 3D shine. I can't explain it any better, and the more you apply it, the deeper the shine is. Its very addicting

I'm with SLP_GTA.
ZAINO, ZAINO, and MORE ZAINO!
The stuff can get a little pricey if you use their multi-stage polishes and waxes, but it is well worth it. The more you put on, the deeper it looks.

Re: Car Polish
Well to me it all depends on what the car is and how long sence the last wax. The only reason i am posting this is because im at work right now and a guy brought in his mini van. 07 honda van. Then we started talking about price and what kind of wax i use. I said Liquid Glass but he wanted me to use the wax he has and it was Turtle Wax F21 and i like the way its coming so far. Ive use the Turtle Wax ICE i like it on some cars. Looks really nice on some and crappy on some others.

Re: Car Polish
Liguid Glass comes off easy looks nice
Turtle Wax F21 goes on pretty think and looks nice, comes of pretty easy for how thick it is going on.
Turtle Wax ICE is nice on some cars like i said but the best part is going over plastic with its makes it very nice.
All depends on how clean your car is and how often it is waxed.

So where can you get that ZAINO stuff?

Re: Car Polish
i use a different brand. i use zymol. deep shine easy to use. clean the car put it on, wipe off before it hazes, buff with ice water and it will SHINE! i compared it to zaino and i like it better. I know a guy that does paint and restores classic cars and he swears by in for new and old cars. I tried it on his referral and i have yet to change to anything else.

As far as I know you cannot buy Zaino in any store. It's sold by private dealers or direct from www.zainostore.com .

Re: Car Polish
Just got a new wax in call "Excite" at the shop. It was actually recommended by the guy I sold my Camaro to which was recommended to him by some guy at a car show he was at. Definitely has given the deepest black shine i've ever seen. Pretty cool company out of NY...

Re: Car Polish
I've been using Optimum compound and polish products, topped with Collinite 476, then a coat of Pinnacle Souveran. Makes white pop. I've had good results with Zaino, but didn't feel like paying for the price.

Re: Car Polish
The reason Zaino gives such a deep shine is because of their "process". How many people actually clay bar the car prior to the seasonal wax. Zaino sets that as a step in their process. I've heard people say that just after washing and claying, the shine was phenomenal. I'm sure just about any polish today when used in the same manner as Zaino will give the same results. Prior to using Zaino, I never heard of using the clay bar and I'm sure there are many like me out there. I use a good clay bar and have tried many polishes from Turtle Wax brand to Meguiar's, Wizard's and even Formula 113. They all left the same shine. The question was in how long does it last between applications? That's the only difference in these newer products.

Re: Car Polish
How good your paint looks in my opinion is 80% paint job, 15% prep work, and 5% the product you use. I have used many and you can get different results from each.
For example, Zaino gives a real high shine, almost like a plastic wrap look. Where a high quality carnauba will give you more warmth/wet look. But a lot of times you really have to have an eye for it to really notice.
There is more you can do then just throw wax on. There are also glazes you can apply before the wax to give it a more deep/wet look. Also buffing the car with a quality PC would probably give you better results then any one product would.
Here's mine after a claybar -> Optimum Polish (applied with a PC 7424) -> Red Machine Glaze -> Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax.

Re: Car Polish
I agree that a clay bar, followed by PC applied polishes is going to be more important than the particular brand of wax.
I used a PC and clay over the summer on my '95 Formula, with three grades of Optimum polish, and then 4 Star paint protectant. The results, on a daily driver car whose paint had been neglected for years, were impressive.
You can see my '92 in the reflection.

Re: Car Polish
No point in putting more than one coat of any cleaner wax as the new coat "cleans off" the old coat. In essence, it doesn't build up.
I've just tried Poor Boy's World Natty's Blue wax. It has a great shine on my black Tahoe. Will be using Collinite's 476s for winter as it is a very durable wax.

I'm been using Mother's 100% carnuba wax as a final step. Lets not forget to clean first then sealer/glaze second. Everyone has there favorite. This is mine, I detail on the side. Rick

Re: Car Polish
Pinnacle Souveran by far is my favorite carnauba to use. Its a little pricey but there is nothing to match that shine.. Zanio would be my favorite synthetic. Its a great sealer wax to use on your daily driver.. I am sure that many of us here detail on the side, I do as well.. Just a way to help with the never ending battle with speed.

Re: Car Polish
I also detail on the side and I've tried a most of the over the counter stuff, but I've always been happy with Meguires Tech wax. It really brings out the metallicness of my paint. I'm going to try some Pinnacle Souveran paste wax when it's time to wax it again though.

Re: Car Polish
Another great note about the PS is the ease of use. It spreads like warm butter and comes off easier than any other product I have ever used. I used my PS about 7 times and you cannot even tell I have used it. A little goes a long way.
You guys missed out. Autogeek had buy one get one free on PS. I couldn't help myself. Now I have three of them.
