Theformula, if that's really how you feel, then what are you doing here? Not trying to flame, just curious. Are you just trying to rain on our parade or what?

We should make our OWN movie. An independent film and see if it can get to the Cannes Film Festival.
Actually me and my friends were going to make a commercial of a field-hopping civic, to show its "longevity" and how it can take abuse. A parody in fact. Yes we're going to put a coffee can exhaust on it, and a spoiler made out of plywood, and all the other riceboy mods and take pictures of it. Then we plan to drive it into a field and make it do jumps and stuff, and then allow it to die, by pouring harmful The Works into the aluminum engine. (The Works contains Hydrochloric acid. HCl + Al = Aluminum Chloride and Hydrogen gas.) Oh wont that be pretty as we over-bore the engine with household products!
I wanna do a cart-job in it, only instead of running the shopping cart into the curb, tie a few to the bumper and drive away with them

Also you don't see many old imports around, like say 60's or 70's models, why because they rusted to dust because the bodies were so poor.
Also most Jap imports will never be classic collectible cars and grow in value like domestic cars.
I would never drive a Japanese or german car, for one their ugly, and I still resent their WWII actions.

I for one am not even the slightest concerned about a true street driven import beating me. It's never happened and if it ever does then the other guy will deserve the credit for doing so. Don't misconstrue that as I can't be beat.... but it's simply not likely. My big block is barely even working up a sweat and it will last 200,000 miles if I don't beat the crap out of it. I'm sorry if you're getting whooped by Civics and Accords on a daily basis. I can help you with some ideas to change that if you like.

Also, grouping a standard import with the MKIV Supra is a real insult to Supra owners. That is an awesome car and will remain a serious contender for several years. But they aren't deadly unless you go from a roll.... and I'm too smart for that.

A thirdgen:
Flies like an eagle, stings like a bee!
A *****:
Screams like an eagle, farts like a bee!
These riceboys can add all the crap they want to their hunk of junk, but bottom line...there's no substitute for cubic inches!
You guys see my post on what the import names stand for?

what is this crap about the import engines being way better because they can run all kindsa crazy stuff on stock block and internals?? the only credit i'll give to honda engine maybe is the hp to ltr ratio ... thats all they got going for it .. yeah people run supercharger and nos or turbo and whatever but i tell you what ... you dont hear about those people 6 months later .. you know why?? cuz the engine blew the hell up!!! i know people who have gone through THREE YES THREE engines in like 2 years. what the hell is that. thats called pushing your engine too hard. now you're kinda correct when you say they are built from the factory with better internals and this is true .. but only for some imports. i give respect to supra tt, rx7 tt, 300zx tt, skyline tt because those engines can push some impressive (and sometimes INSANE) numbers and all the cars are pretty light. it dosnt matter to me though, because I plan to do what you said and totally rebuild the internals of a 350 and setup twinturbo's. yeah i might get beat by the supra with 853 rear wheel horsepower but we dont got any of those on the island so nani nani boo boo!@!@ heheh nah we do got some fast supras here .. one guy is dyno'd @ 550 rwhp. oh well this message is too long .. sorry

Qwiktrip, I think if you read my signature you will see I will be putting you in the mirror pal.
Do I have first hand experience working on the Honda 1.8liter.. UMM YES! Not only does my cousin own a type r, my best friend has a 96 civic. In the past month we've added intake, headers, muffler, afpr. Getting ready for the NOS install.
By the way, single second et supras are not rare. If you knew ANYTHING about the import scene you would know this. Go visit supraforums.com. You'll see how many are in the 9s.
Believe it or not thats what I plan to do when the RSX type S is released this summer . I never looked right in a thirdgen anyway. I'm half asian . Not full ******* like qwik trip. done with this topic. BYE! lol
By the way qwiktrip, how does 12.8 sound in the 1/4 with only 4.5lbs of boost? I have 8.5 now!

Well folks it is like this. I am from a small town and i am 23. When I started playing with cars it seemed everyone had a V8 and I guess I wanted to be like everyone else. I bought my first Z28 and fell in love with it. I am on to my 91 Z28 now and I get a lot of compliments. EVERYONE LOOKS!!! I don't pick up women with it and I don't really care who likes it. It is my baby and when I pull into a parking lot of my friends who now all drive ricers I say nice cars.
I like the sound of my car and I like the look of my car. I am one of only 3 guys in a city of 20,000 people with a modded 3rd gen. I am the proud owner of one of 3 Z28's that are my body style. Being different kicks a$$!!! I don't want to pull into the parking lot and look like everyone else.
By the way guys, country girls or rednecks, what ever you want to call them, are way more fun than city girls!!! We have some major hot ones but hell the like my beat up mud covered S10 more. I don't understand it!

One sweet sounding system

I am so glad theformula is done with this post. I have been residing in SC for a while now and I find both the weather and the woman hot. ******* women? Who cares, hot is hot. As far as my car is concerned...you can all check it out and judge for yourself. My original 350 currently has 169,000 miles and counting. The only thing wrong with the engine is leaky valve seals, easily fixed but I am building the new motor for it. It still runs 14.22 in the quarter. I think that movie looks cool because there is a lot of fast cars and crazy stuff going on. Yes they are ricers but so what, as long as I don't have to drive one. I am not happy they wreck the black '68 Dodge with the supercharger. Why? Because I love my '68 Dodge and wouldn't want to see it end up that way.
