Ram Air hood price difference!

Ram Air hood price difference!
I am looking to buy a ram air hood for my 92 bird. To buy it from ramairhood.com would cost about $1400cdn, everything included. On ebay it will cost about $650 to $750. However for the pin on fiberglass hoods on ebay are cheaper at about $550. Is there any difference in a normal ram air hood and the pin on hood, besides the obvious.(it pins on,lol) Does anyone know how much work it takes to custom make it fit the hood shocks? Also, is it possible to buy the vents to go in the hood bc the hood will not come with vents. The pin on hood also has the cowl induction opening at the top, what would you need to close that opening if the company will not do it?
Sorry for all the questions, but I know some of you have struggled with this as well. Below is a link to the pin on hood.

A pin-on hood won't have the reinforced inner structure, nor the bolt threads for the hinges. Basically, no way to make a pin-on into a hinged hood.

The RA1 and RA2 hoods are for sale for $510 Us dollars at hawksthirdgenparts.com. Hawks is the only company I would buy a hood or spoiler from anyway. Well, maybe GT Fiberglass.
You almost want to have at least 2 hood pins/locks for the front of the hood. I'd feel really unsafe without them at high speeds.

Re: Ram Air hood price difference!
Back in the winter of 2004 when the canadian dollar was at 70ish cents I landed a RA1 hood from ASCD for roughly 700 dollars. I brokered my own hood and saved some money. IIRC the shipping was roughly 170 from the states on ATC Courier. I don't reccomend using them if they are in your area. The company that actually brought it up from the states for ATC was Canadian Freightways. They are bondable so they can deliver right to your door rather than you having to broker your own part. It does cost a bit more tho.
