The car looks great man. I personally like the rims a lot. I can see that you are looking at the over all look you want with the car and the rims will look even better when you get the spacers done. Are you going to leave them silver? I was just trying to picture them matching the color of the car.

That hood normally looks pretty out of place on the thirdgen, mainly because it is tall enough that it really throws off the natural rake of the car. With the much taller/longer 4th gen spoiler out back though it restores some of that and lets the hood work w/ the car. I really like all the custom touches you've done to the car too, pretty cool. I'm sure it will look great painted.

The only things on the car I don't like are the rims, which I dislike strongly. I think a set of the ROH Snyper (or Sniper, I forget) or the ROH ZS or whatever wheels would look killer and they're very affordable... Maybe it's the six spoke design that I'm not a fan of anyway, but those wheels look totally wrong, IMO.

That is a bad @$$ car and engine. But this rims are for a honda or something. DUMP THEM QUICK!!!! Get something mean like the new SS rims or ZR1 rims. Go check them out on ebay. Also youll be able to put the 17" tires on the ZR1/SS wheels. Then put the Honda rims for like 400 or whatever you can get and youll almost come out even, and you wont have those (no offense) **Rice Wheels** IMHO!!!!! DITCH THEM.
Keep up the Good work.

Okay, gents... Check it out. The rims stay. Okay?! Good. I've heard all of the "rice" this and "rice" that comments. I've heard the Torque Thrust this and ZR1 that comments. I've never done any mod based solely on other peoples opinions (I'm speaking of the "looks" department, of course) and will continue in that vein.

If you look around you will see five-spoke star rims on every vehicle out there from the grocery getter minivan to the import chuckleheads. I decided against that, obviously. You can probably point to a dozen guys with the Snyper rims, the ROH rims, Torque Thrust - hell, every muscle head in the country uses that style rim.

It's a matter of personal opinion, and while it may be nice that you guys disagree with me, in the end it's still my car. I'm the one driving it, I'm the one that's going to be seen in it, I'm the one that'll be stomping *** in it. As y'all will in your own rides.

I think opinions will change once again, when my baby has paint, and the wheels don't stand out so much from the rest of the car; but we'll see. It won't matter to me, but maybe it will to the "disagreeables".

Besides, GM High Performance rated them as one of the "10 Baddest Wheels on the Planet" so they can't be all that bad.

Thanks and take it very, very easy,
Steve "two 'effs' in" Cauffiel

This is about the wheels again.... I think you are one a very good path to having the "BEST THIRDGEN" EVER... Period. But, my belief is that the wheels make or break a car. And those wheels are breaking it. I dont mind that it stick out, I just think that they are broke wheels. Why dont you sell them on ebay, youll get around $600 for 17" wheels that are on of the best 10 wheels ever made. Then use the $600 and get some SS wheels. (i think all the ZR1's are chrome and chrome doesnt look that great with white). You will come up pretty close to even. Shi*, you got the 4th gen spoiler and hood.... you might as well get the best wheels!!! Do yourself A favor that you wont regret, get the SS wheels.

Scauffiel,
Also, I forgot to add, there is a reason that GM and Ford put Sweet 17" 5 (not those ghetto looking six spokers)spokes on their best car....... SS camaros, Ram Air Trans Ams, the Vettes, the Cobras, mustang GTs! They did that becuase they look the best. And your trying to make your car look the best it can. When I see you come rolling down my street with those wheels, Im gonna look for the Neon lights under the car, Euro tail light, and the 4 cylinder with cold air/ and a DC sport headeR. Please change those wheels, its almost a free mod. I hope you realize how its going to pretty much be a FREE MOD! scauffiel do you live anywhere close to Cincy Ohio, becuase if you do im going to sell those wheels for you, and put on the SS wheels, and even pay the difference.

Jesus guys give him a break! The wheels look fine, and even if they didn't, its his car. That being said, I'd like to know some of the details on that engine, how much power are you going to be putting out, etc. By the way, one of the best-looking exotics I've ever seen.

Thank you. Exotics? Wow! Never thought of it like that before... Thanks again! You're not telling me you'd rather see ImportsRsloths black IROC with, what were they called? Racing five spoke wheels? Like all the really cool cars; the SS, the TA, the Vette, et al. But... But... He has head and taillight covers, too?! Hmmm... I just must not get it. Ghetto rims; puhleeze.

She's a 350 bored .040" over with a 400 crank in her to make a 385ish CID engine. She's converted to roller camshaft and has full aluminum roller rockers. Using Sportsman II heads that have been ported and polished, an Edelbrock Performer manifold, and a Holley 670 TBI lower half with GM 454 injectors - it's estimated she'll put out close to 460HP and 470#ft of torque at the crank. Matter of fact she doesn't come down below 400#ft until after 6500RPM. Griffin radiator; Aerospace Components Electric water pump; engine oil and transmission fluid stacked plate coolers. She's got a built 700R4 (built to handle 800HP) with a Vigilante Torque Converter to snap my head clean off. Posi 3.73's in the rear, Baer's Track System up front, braided stainless lines all around. Spohn tubular LCA's, LCA relocation brackets, adjustable panhard bar, Alston subframe connectors and polyurethane everywhere. Ported (final diameter is between 1 5/8" and 1 3/4") and polished Edelbrock TES's that have been modded with a 3" collector that flow into a high flow cat and from there back into 3 inch exhaust pipe, through a Warlock (IIRC) muffler.

How's that for a quickie rundown?? Besides, this is all prep for a twin turbo machine eventually. Though that's probably "ghetto" as well.

Hey Scauffiel... I think the biggest problem with your rims is the contrast with the primer... I think they will look great once they are contrasted with the pearl white... You definitely have to get those rear wheels tucked in though....

Great Work altogether though.... I wish i had the time/energy to do a sweet job like that.... you are gonna love that ride when shes done..
