A darker red could look good.

black and black imo would look the best. but out of the choices, black and a darker shade of red could look sweet.

I'd rather see black and black also...but out of the 2, definitely black and red. Black and gold hasn't been cool since smokey and the bandit.

Re: opinions on paint scheme

You are not taking in the fact of the wheel color though???

If you have chrome wheels it will not even begin to look right on a black and gold or black and red car!!!

As far as that goes just forget about the black and red that would look hideous!!!

Now I think with chrome wheels and the silver fround FX like you have now would look good. Also black on black would look good with chrome rims (how do I know) Because my TA was all black with chrome rims and everyone loved it.

Black and gold would look good with Gold GTA crosslace rims and thats about it! Black and red would look like the old bat mobile! Just wouldnt work IMO!

This car is tight!!!

Re: opinions on paint scheme

The black on black does look good. I was thinking maybe a darker red...but after seeing the black on black I'll have to do some more photoshoping and see how mine would look. I thought about keeping it the way it is, but I put a turbo buldge hood on it and it's black, and I'll never be able to get that color blue right to just paint it...so all new paint it is. I'm definatly considering the black on black now though.

Re: opinions on paint scheme

if you paint just go all black.

black/red looks tacky, and black/gold just looks straight fromt he 80s or some other decade before I knew how to drive. Plain black, simplicity really does make for a better looking car.

Re: opinions on paint scheme

Black & red gets my vote BUT....

The front tires are bigger/taller than the rears, and te fronts spokes are pointing rearwards, while the rears are pointing forwards.

I'd say, put some $ into tires, and getting them mounting & balanced, the wheels pointing in the same direction (may just need to swap left & right), on one end.

Re: opinions on paint scheme

I would go black and gold. But with some other wheels. It looks really nice. And isnt the whole point about these cars is the retro looks? Thats half the reason I bought one, they are from a time when cars were actually made to look good and preform, not to look like every other car. Black on black would look like every other mono-color TA on this website.

And what is wrong with smokey and the bandit??

I've got a set of crager SS rims at the chrome shop right now. Those 14's are just a set of rims I had lying around.

Re: opinions on paint scheme

What about a burnt orange metallic or copper-ish color in place of gold? That color seems to be a little more modern than gold. I'm not saying Smokey and the Bandit is bad, its freaking awesome, but gold is kind of old and its been done many times before with black. Or why not go with a maybe better kind of gold like a gold candy kind of paint.
