10" wide rear rim. going nuts here
I can only find one worth while set of rims that come in a 10" wide rim. The problem is that they are 15 in rims. Will I have any major issues tryin to find a 10 inch wide tire fitting on a 15" rim? I want the wide look and i need it for my car. Cant handle these 7-8 inch wide rims

oh ok gotcha haha.
i dont think its to diffucult to find a tire for that wide of tire.
just go to any tire shop or any store that sells tires and ask them that you have a 15 inch tire thts 10 inches wide. they will look it up and see if they have any tires. i had the hardest time trying to find tires for my car. most of them were for 16 or 17 inch tires. but i finally found some. they were $135 each. and it was there lowest quality tire to lol it was there only tire they had to.
anyways just try afew tireshops by your place. or check the internet sites to see if they have any good pricesfor tires. but the shipping may be a bit pricy. so it probably be worth it to just go to the local tire shop.
i think mine are 9" inch wide. they could be 10 wide...
i have 235s on my rims.
on all 4 coners to.
im gunna be getting alot wider tire for the back and get some slimmer ones for the front. im gunna try to just get a smaller tire and not a smaller rim.
small as in width wise lol.
im gunna be putting the widest tire i can on my rims. if the rearend of my car will allow it anyways.

Re: 10" wide rear rim. going nuts here
ok so wait a minute here.. are you tryin to find a 10" wide rim in 15" diameter?? or another height?? seems like you want, say a 17x10.. and that the 15" is not what you are looking for.. and to be honest, in the bigger sizes, 17x9.5 is sufficient.. if you want wider than 10", be prepared to cut and weld..
on a side note, you might have to do some "clearancing" to get it to fit.. no absolute answer.. some have to, some dont.. this will either be in the front inner fender well and/or the fender lip might have to be rolled..

There are zr1 rims out there in 3 or 4 different finishes(chrome, silver paint, gunmetal gray paint, black paint) that come in 17x9.5 front and 17x11 rear. You can make a 17x11 fit with the right spacers(2" or 1.25") and by taking a hammer and a torch to the rear fender well. About $600 for the 4 rims.
And with 17s or even 16s you will be able to run a z-rated tire. However, if you upgrade the rim size, you should really upgrade the brakes also. Its almost impossible to have better and bigger brakes on a 15" rim.

Well 2 last questions. Should I get a 9 inch wide rim then? or can i safely put in a 10 inch wide rim around the 17 inch height. I want a set of chrome rims and I want them wide in the back. Thats all. No welding or bangin in stuff, just a nice smooth swap. I know there has to be somethig out there.

here is a pic of my 9 inch wide rear wheels with 275's on http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...aropics361.jpg..... here is a pic of a 12 inch wheel...http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...aropics289.jpg....... big difference. lol a 9 inch wheel is pretty wide. much wider depending on the offset and you will need to do some clearancing!!!!

i hate to tell anyone to search but this topic has been beaten to death. 10" wide all around without some work won't look good to most diehard thirdgen people and car nuts.
good luck
