fiberglass hood

where can i find a fiberglass hood for an '86 t/a WITHOUT the headlight area cutout...to be used in a popup delete conversion?

I have never seen a popout-less Firebird hood on these boards or anywhere online. You will probably have to contract a fiberglass guy to do a one-off for you. You'll probably put his kids through college

Let's see some pics if you get this conversion off the ground!

I think you need to lay off sarcasm. Keep the holier-than-thou attitude, just internalize it. Your question is not about whether or not to do a headlight conversion, it's about where to find a hood.

Yes, the headlight conversion has been done, no you can't find a fiberglass hood without cutouts. Everyone else has fabbed up clear covers, or made their own hood. Have you done a search?

Like I said, find yourself a fiberglass guy.

haha take it easy there brandotron.. you have never seen a popout-less Firebird hood on these boards?...there is in fact one on this very website(!!!) it is a black(flat black actually) trans am with this conversion..If i can find it i'll put a link or if anybody else can find that pic put it up please.

VFN does

They even sell extended hoods

Since it is fiberglass it would be no problem to make a small rectangle and bond it to a normal glass hood
