I've found the best wheel cleaner ever.

I used this to clean my Formula wheels: http://www.eagleone.com/pages/produc...=1003&cat=5006

And let me tell you it took off that 10yr old brake dust like it was nothing. Its like night and day how they look now compared to before.

Before - After
-->

I know you guys think my car is ugly, but he's beautiful to me. And I think these wheels look pretty mean--I'm thinking about getting them coated gun-metal.

*edit*
Here's the before and after closer together so you can see the difference.

If your wheels are polished and not clear coated be careful with this stuff. It will dull out the wheels requiring a repolish. It uses and acid to clean the wheels. I use it on my Jeeps painted wheels but dont dare go near the camaro wheels with it. Dont breath it in either, nasty stuff.

this product does not use acid in it. it is safe for all wheels. it wont hurt the wheels if you use an acid base cleaner unless you use it all the time. you can use it about once a month and the wheels should be fine. i work at a dealership and i use the acid they use back there and my wheels are just fine. you just have to use it rationally. now i have had to do wheel work on cars that used acid about once a week. lets just say its a pain having to use a big a$$ hammer to get a wheel off just to rotate it lol.

Im sorry I had that confused with the eagle product I have. Mine is the etching cleaner which does contain an acid. This may be ok for your wheels. For stuck spot on your wheels you may need to polish or even sand/polish them out.

armorall makes this wheel cleaner that works pretty well too, it makes the dirt and everything just fall off like nothing.

I didn't think there was acid in it when I used it. I almost feel like scouring the salavge yards for wheels that are dirty and cleaning them with this and selling them on ebay/craigslist for a profit.

Re: I've found the best wheel cleaner ever.

If you go to your local napa and look in the industrial supplies (IE where shops shop) they sell a generic cleaner for about 16 dollars a gallon. You can mix it with 25% water and in one application will clean a rim. It bubbles and foams like mad, and will eat off anything. I will get the name of it. When my brother and I ran our own shop we used it on aluminum intakes and whatnot under hoods.

Cool, maybe it uses the same ingredients. I'm all for it.
