Im looking to wax my car in a couple weeks and I want to know what does the best job for polishing and removing thin scratches? Thanks

 

I use Meguires Polish and Gold class wax....works nice for me

 

I use the 3 step process: 1 - cleaner 2 - sealer & 3 wax (use 100% carnuba wax for best protection). Any top brand will do like Mother's or Mequires. This job will last you a long time, around a year if done right.

I use Meguires Gold class.

 

For me I claybar, polish, then seal. I been experimenting with clay baring brands but meguires seems to work alright. Then I polish with meguires no. 7 show car glaze. After that it is the P21S Carmauba Wax. It is sort of expensive but the results are awesome. Though if you really want to get the scratches to disappear you need to get a buffer. Then you can get some kind of machine polish to take care of that. An example is meguires no. 3 machine polish. Don't go this direction without some basic know how on doing this. If not careful you can burn the paint. Course if you want to keep it simple and cheap I used the meguires gold a long time ago and the results where good.

 

A porter cable and a decent swirl remover such as Optimum Polish.

i have been a die hard meguries and mothers fan for years then i started working at a parts plus auto store on the weekends and we carry a product called dura gloss this is the best stuff i have ever seen you can use it when the car is hot and in the sun and it does an unbeliviable job and last ive used the past wax and the car wash and this weekend im gonna try the cleaner and the polish and then the wax back on top of that but the wax and car wash is the best hands down

 

Malco Plum Crazy hand glaze for fine scratches. Works awesome and smells great too
