Anyone ever hear of Jongbloed Hoods?

Found the hood i was looking for (posted a topic looking for the hood i wanted in aftermarket product review) while searching the net, actually a friend found it for me. Has anyone ever heard of the company or know where i could get more info about the hood? i emailed the person who had it but just figured i ask around too. here is a pic:

The company no longer exists.Wich is too bad because it seems that alot of people would kill for that hood.....including me.

It's all about supply and demand. If enough people were interested in it,someone would build it.The hot hood for now are the ramair and ss hoods wich look good but I think i'll keep my flat hood until something similar to the jongbloed hood comes around.

I've looked everywhere for more of that hood. I've gotten dozens of e-mails asking where I got it, so if I ever do find one I'll be sure to post it here.

if they could how many people do you think would be interested and ACTUALLY shell out deposits?

If you want, I could take several more shots of the hood so you can give those guys a better idea of what it looks like. One feature you might or might not want depending on your engine is the built in cold air kit for carb and TBI.

I am not for sure about third gen, but I know Harwood makes a wider cowl hood like that for fourth gen Camaros. I dont know if that helps or not

That would be a badass hood if the centerline "dipped" sort of like Corvette hoods do in the center (instead of "peaking" like that one does)...

hey,
we are getting ready to make a third gen camaro hood. we were going with the ram air style. This one does look good on this car. I can make this exact hood if I hade one to use to make the mold. If anyone knows of one I can get we can do this one and put the ram air on hold. www.geocities.com/gtautoacc

Man....I've wanted that hood for ever since I saw it in Carcraft in 89'. Andy just made me even more jealous when he posted it on the board a few months back. Made me even more jealous when he replied to my email saying he bought one of two from someone. D@mn you Andy! LOLz. Hopefully GT Auto can cut a sweet deal with him.

Hey it was me in the lolifehigh bus foum that asked if you were in Wildwood, this is wierd, cause as rare as your hood is...your car has a twin, it was wierd cause I saw the car and all I thought about was a post on here a couple months ago when I saw your car...so when i came home that tuesday I searched for the post again, I found it, and I was convinced it was your car I saw. Thats wierd. I guess So Cal is a long drive from So NJ

I've only seen a total of 3 of these hoods. (4 if you count that Car Craft article I saw once) Mine, the second one that was picked up from that shop, and one I saw on a white Camaro at the Super Chevy show a few months back. On the one hand I think it's awesome to have a hood so rare, but on the other hand it makes me a little paranoid. If anything happends to this one I can't replace it... If anyone in the So Cal area was able to use mine to make a mold, now would be a good time since the Camaro's gonna be parked for at least a few weeks.

Andy89RS, this isnt meant to be a flame, but is that oxidation of the paint on your roof, and dents on your drivers side. cause I dont know about the oxidation but I know the one in NJ had dents on the drivers side.

we need some of our NJ members to keep an eye out to see if Im halucinating or if you really have a twin

GTAUTO: thanks for the quick and detailed response to my E-mail today, I cant wait to buy my hood and spoiler from you, I'll be ordering prolly July 16th or 17th.

86FyrBrd - Yeah, the roof is suffering from that dreaded delamination. On the drivers side there's a gouge going all the way through the rear wheel lip, to just under the door handle. Got that one in a parking lot a few years ago, naturally whoever did it took off. I still have no idea how they could have made that huge of a gash on accident...
