Re: Louvers for an 86? (brake light on hatch)
Louvres are very hard to find these days. i don't think anyone makes them.
Good question re: brake light. I have louvres collecting dust because I have the rear wiper
Why don't you just remove the rear brake light? If anyone asks, say it's a 1985.

Re: Louvers for an 86? (brake light on hatch)
They did have them in 86 and I took them off my car about the first month I had it. I have them from mine, and my set has been sitting in storage since around 2001. Shoot me a PM if interested, these are the factory louvers. Thanks!

Check with this guy. http://myworld.ebay.com/www.1aautomotive.com
He used to carry them. Doesn't hurt to shoot him an email.

National Parts Depot (which normally only stocks parts for 67-81 Camaros) has nice looking louvers for 82-92 Camaros. I think they're made by Hammond? Check em out, they look pretty good in the picture.

Re: Louvers for an 86? (brake light on hatch)
For anybody looking at louvers, be sure to get a factory set. The aftermarket sets rattle and are cheap looking. I still have parts left over from an NOS 91/92 set if anyone needs to repair a set. I'm missing 2 slats and the hardware. The side ABS pieces, the top hinge and the remaining slats are still in the box. Again, these are 91/92 style 3rd brake light setup.

Re: Louvers for an 86? (brake light on hatch)
I have a set of the "Chastain Shadows" Which are a 3 peice set, with the place for the third brake light in them. I can shoot you some pics with them on my car if interested. I'd be a little sad to let them go, but money talks
