Im looking at getting a 2nd gen. camaro. You may call me old fashion but this has been my dream car since i was little. Im wanting any links or sites that may have good detailing, body kits, anything extra and nice for the 77-81 body style camaro, any ideas or anything you may have seen while out toasting those mustang's.

I agree there is something about the second gens, my dream is to find a 72 trans am (hehe, it's a nice dream). but i think the 77-81 camaros look good stock. I prefer the Z28 of these years, my brother has a 81 Z28 with the optional 350, i love it when the butterflies open up in the cowl hood. The one hood that does look ok other than the stock cowl is the L-88 hood imo. good luck with the second gen.

I have always been fond of the 78-81 camaros. I have had 3 81's and plan to get another mint 81 z28 sometime next year.

I think that these cars (78-81's) are getting a little more popular now. If you can find a near mint and not abused one, grab it. Most of these are trashed but the clean ones are out there.

They will not be as expensive as the first gen camaros but they will get up there in price soon (3-5 years). Look at the 70-73 camaros now, some of those are even more expensive than some of the 69 camaros.

This is just my opinion.

hope this helps!!!

Thanks for the info. What im looking to really do is add body kits and items like that. I dont want to have just another 2nd gen camaro, I dont want something that when im cruising around town someone else will drive by in the same car. Anything like paint jobs, body kits, spoilers, blackouts, the works. This car is my baby and its all i care about

I had an 80 Camaro about 11 years ago. It was the best car I have evered owned. I was looking for another 2 gen but I needed one that ran and didn't look like complete crap. Within the next year, I am going to get another one (running or not) and completly restore it. Theirs just something about those cars that I love.

well, the camaro crew here is usually hostile towards such stuff as body kits and the like.........in other words dont make a great car look like a rice-burner

i have seen some camaros with body kits and they look like F@c&i(ng Garbage

i think the best way to do it is leave your camaro stock on the outside....maybe some sidepipes or something that has relevance to musclecars (hoodpins) but definetly not a body kit

best looking later years 2nd Gen ive ever seen was a 80 or 81 i think, it was bagged, had 18" billet wheels, shaved handles and key holes, molded the bumpers to the body and had a full tweed and leather int.
it was blue and was in a super chevy or one of those magazines not that long ago
