What are some tips on cleaning the 87-92 Formula rims?

Mine are pretty damn dirty I bought a Mcguires wheel cleaner but that really didn't help.

 

The clear coat is stained. The only way to get them to shine like they should is to strip the clear coat. There are all different kinds of ways to do it. I've done three sets of rims so far from the really hard way to the really easy way. The easiest way that I've found to do it is how I recently stripped the lips on my GTA wheels.
