Hahahahaha. I really never have seen Camaro with Clear tailights but i have seen one with all red. no backup, or directional. That was kinda good looking.

 

The only reason I would want clear rear taillights is to paint them all body color. I like the look of our tail lights, just don't like the colors. Too much contrast, makes it look like ever other car from the 80's. I would buy the clears and paint them all red.

Ive seen posts on how to make clear turn signals, clear tail lights, etc.... Id like to see someone make a small company and make them like GTAUTO does!

clear tail lights. are european style, hondas grabbed as fast as possible, same with lexus, trendy cars.
now. i think that there is a possiblity that clear tails can be done and has possiblity of tasteful. perhaps some nightshade of them too.

but like the ones riceies have. hell no on a maro.
because i 'maro and firebird is american construction of american pride. ever seen those heartland america sighns. we have enough rice we dont have to modify ours to be theres.

just remember no modifying your v-8 economy cars.

JUST TO STR8 YOU PEOPLE OUT, ITS ONLY RICE IF ITS EURO LIGHTS!! I see everyone whinning about clear and white lights, well its not rice unless its those euro styled lights. They look like clear lights with mirrors around them. So back off these people with the white lights. Me, I like blacked out personally. Just my 2 cents for the day.

 

eeeewwwwwwwww, eaither way they look like CRAP! you can see all the body behind them and the are dark and light spots and the red and amber bulbs under the white, THAT is what makes it rice. It look slike ****, please sell you Camaro and get a Import if you wish to do that, these car sound not be subjected to that kind of pain.

The term rice is not in the dictionary..Some guy in omaha prolly made it up will playing nintendo and it just caught on...There are gonna be a million different definitions for slang terms and to argue over it is stupid...in my opinion the clears,euros all look like *** ..i have a black car and the blackouts look great on it..i also beleive they look bad on any other color car...and thats my opinion..Some guy out there is gonna think air brushing dog crap on his door is cool...wouldnt be my choice but who am i to get in the way of his artistic vision..there are always gonna be people who like different things...if i see a guy with a camaro and clear tailights i am going to point and get a good laugh in and go about my day...and i think we should all do the same...Theres a reason they made choclate and vanilla..Not everyone likes the same thing....

 

Man with all these complaints and no one but a few select few have actually seen a camaro with them... So untill you see a REAL(non photo shopped) pic of one just shut up. You may find that you actually like it... I know I like the idea. I mean hell I am sick of having the same $hit on my car as everyone else. No one makes anything different nowadays, it's the same old (rap. Hoods, very select ground FX, even more select body kits and you have the tail light and head light covers... THATS IT PEOPLE, WE NEED SOMETHING NEW. I want something that disgenquishies my camaro from every other clone out there. Heck there arn't even that many good looking rims for our cars now... You have to use spacers to run the 93 up style to get something new.

This "IT'S RICE" NAME CALLING NEEDS TO FU(KIN STOP!. We need some new ideas to make our cars unique again!. For quite a few years when the 3rds came out they were one of the best looking cars out there, sadly they have fallen very low on the scale now. I know mine needs work and does not look great in primer gray and in need of a drivers door, but hell. I still want it to have something that no other 3rd has.
I want to mod the hell outta mine, doing fiberglass work everywhere and using different headlights(leaning to the 3 series BMW) and even new tails(looking at the 96-up Supra)I don't care if it's an import it looks good. Have you seen their tails...They look bad a$$. I want to make a new front clip with a wider more open air intake and mount 4-5 inch fog lights there(like the rally style) And have funtional air scoops to the brakes even. I want to reshape the rear clip to mount the exhaust tips in the center and have a rear clip simalar to the new vette. These are just a few of my ideas... It pays to pick up a truckin mag every once in a while to get ideas...
I also plan on swapping in a big 550 pony motor but its still gonna be a 6 banger. What you ask????... A 4.3 turbo Cyclone motor. I am looking at that becase it will easily take the new LS1's and maybe hang with a vette... Or maybe beat it out... at max boost(31PSI) LOL... I may even get around to swapping in the vette C4 rear end... But thats a ways down the road.

IT'S YOUR CAR DO WHAT YOU LIKE TO IT. YOU DO NOT NEED ANYONES PERMISSION TO MODIFY IT TO THE WAY YOU LIKE IT!. WHY SHOULD YOU CARE IF SOMEONE ON THIS BOARD DOES NOT LIKE IT?, IS THE CAR THEIRS?. ARE YOU THAT INSECURE ABOUT YOUR DECISIONS?. TRY GROWING A SET. DO THE MOD, TAKE A PIC AND POST IT. YOU MAY FIND THE PEOPLE TRASHING THE IDEA TURNING AROUND RATHER QUICKLY.

Soon coming 3 inch exhaust, 1.6 rockers, High flow 'Verter, and Ignition system. Along with a complete turbo 4.3 swap planned later this year(hoping to get into the 10's..)
Current mods:
Set of Iroc sway bars front and rear..amazing differance, Air box bottom completely removed allowing my K&N to act like an open element filter.
Lower profile tires, 195/55/15 front 205/55/15 rear handles better.
And a 160 deg thermo for a V8(and yes it works just fine)

Sterio Sony CD head unit and 9 band EQ, Boston acutics 4x6 dash, Alpine 3 way 6x9 sail, California sounds active crossover, Kroiiler 600 watt amp powering the 'pines and Bostons, 600 watt Jensen powering 2 Rockord Fosgate RFZ1812 subs. And all this cost less then $575...

 

This is going no where good so I am closing it.
