zaino on bad paint?
The clearcoat is coming off my car, especially the hood where the paint is really faded. It doesnt look that bad from a distance. But I'm wondering if zaino polish could it hide the blemishes, or would it just make them more noticeable?
Also, is it possible for me to make the car look half decent by sanding the dull parts and using some spray can clearcoat finish? Then afterwards cutpolishing it smooth? I'm working on getting some pics.

ok my opinion you should do... Get some 3m cutting polish. this will take the clear coat off eventually(with enough use), after that you can take some 1500 grit paper and wet sand the area(hood) to smooth it out. If you want to reclear coat do it now. after that take 3m polishing compound. This will smooth out the clear coat and polish it to a mirror. Of course if you polish out the paint on the hood it will stand out.

matlock,
Zaino has the Z-5, this is a swirl remover. Along with the Z-18 claybar, these are the only two products I can think of that provide a minimal level of restoration for paint. So it does not look like this is the way to go, now if you ever repaint your car zaino is the way to go. Of all the waxes I have tried I have never seen one that beads water off so easy. Hope this helps,
Don
