Yeah, it still looks just like the same design that is taking sales from the Camaro, why not color the headlight area instead of it being the same color as the car?? They could have made it better (it needs a totally new design) but notice how those kinda look like IROC-Z rims??

I saw them yesterday at a show in Ann Arbor and it is a nice car but not something I would like.
I see where you say the wheels look like IROC wheels but the picture is deceiving. I did not think they look like IROC wheels when I saw them in person.
They should have put the LS6 in it.

Ever since the late 80's early 90's GM has adopted a "brand management' philosophy, wherein each division would take on a "personality" or "identity". Chevrolet's chosen "identity" was that of the "family" division.
Why do you think Chevy had a minivan (Astro) before any other division did? They also had the first small SUV (S-10 Blazer) among the GM ranks. (Granted the S-10 Blazer was shared with GMC because it was still considered a truck at the time)
Performance vehicles do not fit into the "family" scheme of things. Yet Chevrolet will be total hypocrites and cash in on the heritage of its performance past. The entire division has become a mere shell, a bastardization, of the name Chevrolet. With their front drive, and sometimes four door SS models.
With the exception of three models (the Corvette, and two f-bodies) GM, IMHO, has never recovered from the energy crisis of the late 70's. They have been a very conservative and "safe" carmaker ever since.
So if/when the Camaro/Firebird make their return expect some bastardized version of these once fine cars. I wouldn't put it past GM to bring it back as a front driver.
Of course this is all just my opinion, just had to get it off my chest.
