So has anybody ever spraid on the nightshade stuff on there 85-90 trans am/gta tailights? anyone have any pics of it? I have seen just the bottom reflector strip done, and it gives it a cleaner look. Im considering doing this to my bird, but id like to see pics first. No formula's please, ive already seen it done on them, and it looks dahm good imo. And i know already there alreday tinted, so it would obviously be a very light shade.

 

Why not have Alex do the same thing to your lights as he did to his? It'll look better IMO.

 

^ alex'a tail lights are very dark. You would never see my lights if i did that. i have a trans am remeber?

 

Well not as dark as he did it. But a couple of light passes would be nice on your car. And it would look really good with a nice gloss on it.

Nooo. Nobody has ever done that around here. I think you're the first to ask that question.

Obviously you are asking that question because you have done a search any nothing has come up right?

 

I have done it. Suggestion. Take the tail lights apart and spray them on the inside instead of the outside. It will make it much easier to look smooth and shiney.

thanks, those look great!!!! im just leary of doing this myself. If i mess up than i dont have an extra set of tails lying around. maybe ill pick up another set.

 

Just take them apart and spray the inside. Much harder to mess up.

 

Do they come apart easily? Seem like they would be easier to mess up. If you spray the outside you can sand it off. If you spray the inside and mess up, you cant really sand it off...

i did mine in that thread, they came out pretty good, but definitly clear them after they dry, i didnt clear them and now i have like water spots going down them, i just use some tire shine and they look fine. another person had a painter mix a few drops of black into clear and then spray them, they looked AMAZING and i will deffinitly do that when i have the time/money.

 

Here is mine taillights but these are painted with red lacquer.
