Anyone have an orange third gen pic? maybe be leaning towards that for my color. a dark orange.

Personally i have nothing to complain with red. I like it but i just want somthing different. Plus with out all the red camaros there wouldn't be any postitive stereotypes for ppl to compain about. lol

Nice paint heavychevy29 I wanted to paint my car a similar color to yours for a while same year and hood and from Jersey lol it gives a me a good idea how mine would look

i saw a third gen and it inspired me to copy it lol. its hugger orange with an all black top. might be able to get the pic but it loks awesome.

It is a factory color for the 1988 Firebird Formula... called medium orange metallic.

I looked at your pictures on photobucket and that car is sick man. What an awesome ride, the color is amazing. How many coats of clear were applied? The car looks 'wet' it is so shiny. Great job, I love the way it looks so stock...

 

I'm not sure how many coats are on the car but 2 gallons of clear was used. The car is currently up for sale if anyone is interested. $18,000.00 Or best reasonable offer. Over $27,000.00 was put into the restoration.

Is the motor stock? How much horsepower and torque does it have?

 

Not stock and never dynoed. Has only 1000 miles on it since it was restored.Was show car only.

 

What mods did you do to the motor?

 

Brand new ZZ4 Bottom end, 3 angle valve job on L98 heads,Stainless steel valves with positive Teflon seals, 1.52 rockers, Edelbrock intake and runners,LS1 injectors, adj fuel pressure regulator, custom tune Etc.. Not a whole lot.

 

Orange is a terabile color. Don't go with orange.
