Here is my 1992 TBI Firebird. These are pictures after i sprayed the car. Since, I had a formula hood put on. these pictures are obviously without the formula hood.
Lookin to get TT2's and retire these rims that don't match the color well. IMO.
These are my favorite shots of the car taken on a cold december morning. Sun on the car gives a good effect I think. Also a budget paint job.

Yeah ... post up, punk.
Man, that makes me smile from ear to ear. I know white is forgiving, but that "budget" paint job just looks so sweet in pictures ... I'm sure it does in real life, too. Great job.

I got my bird back from the bodyshop after the last mishap.

That looks sharp. I think it'd look even better removing the overspray on the plastic pieces that hang below the side gfx.

I have since replaced the front fender Ground EFXs on both sides and thought the same thing about the lower pieces below the side ground EFXs as well. I figured I would take them off and get them stripped and painted black if not try to replace them. I have also since installed new emblems and refinished the wheels, so I plan on some new pictures as soon as I get it cleaned up.

I used Quarts and Mineral Spirits for thinning and used a Wagner HPLV (High Pressure Low Volume) Paint Gun. I did about 7 very light coats with wet sand between every other coat. It took a couple of days.

Good luck on finding some descent front lower fender Ground EFX with Air deflectors. It took me almost 2 years to finally get me a good set I could use for about 500.00 $$$$.

I actually found a drivers side fender GFX a while back. It cost me about $120!
I will probably use that and my passenger side one as templates and get some sheet metal ones fabricated.

The Springs are cut down moogs from the Guldstrand site. The Slalom series. The rear shocks are Bilstien HDs and the Front struts are Racekrafts, but they need to be changed, I think. I can lift the nose of the car pretty far when stomping on it. The wheels are 18X9 Front and 18X11 back Drift R's From ROH. Curently I am running Sumitomo HTRzIII 275 in the fron 305 in the rear with a 35 series sidewall. I would like to step up to a 40 or 45 series sidewall.

Thanks for the compliments. As with all thirdgens it is a labor of love. THere are some seriously nice rides here.
Word to the wise, don't drive home form PT all in one day when you live 14 hours away. The last couple hundred miles were hard on the paint and my body
You tend to not drive as smart when your exhausted and get more rock chips. Oh well they are cars right?

cool man, thanks for the reply. my combo is gonna be quite different than that. ive got the eibach prokit with kyb gr2's for all four corners and 17x9.5 ZR1's with 275 and 285 40 series tires. hasnt been installed on the car yet because the its been sitting with no motor for almost two years now. but everyday i get closer to having it all back together. if it looks half as good yours, ill be happy though.

Re: 91-92 firebird picturees....post em
Well, im back.. reluctantly i sold my black 92 project last oct 2010 cause we had bought a house and my son was born and needed the cash. The guy who bought it lied and a month later i found the car on craigslist, parted out and then he crushed the body! im still pissed off. well, I came across this 91 GTA 350 WS6 car well maintained, just was in the process of paint and interior strip, so its my new project! and i finally have a garage to put it in! needs a fuel pump to run(as usual for an fbody!)

and all the parts that were loose in the car!(gonna be busy for a while!)

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...9/IMG_3864.jpg
found part of the build sheet in the car( was loose, think prev. owner has it and cant find it, i tore the whole driver side interior apart)

he was recovering the seats in microfiber(think your couch), more padding is nice, but im not sold on the material or color..
http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...9/IMG_3860.jpg
overall, its a bit long term, but at least i have something to keep me sane(well kinda)!

Re: 91-92 firebird picturees....post em
In the picture above. I had this engine combo:

It is a 377ci: 400 block with 350 rotating assembly. I did it because I had a decent forged 350 rotating assembly, with some decent Weisco pistons leftover from another project. The heads are Pro Topline's 180cc vortecs. The intake is a piece I found that was used on offshore racing boats originally made by Hirel and then eventually bought and casted by Holley and is the basis for their gen I EFI intakes. Using a Holley commander 950 reprogrammed to do closed loop WBO2 control and self learn.
The transmission is a T56 (94 case) with Viper internal and Rockgear upgrades, running one of Competition Clutch's six pucks.
Last but not least a Quick Performance 9" with a Yukon Aluminum center running 3.70's
At the end of last season I added this:

Then I had a roller lifter kick sideways and destroy my block, so with the help of Dart blocks and World heads i am going to add this new 406 with the same induction.

Sorry for the thesis, and thanks for asking ;-)

Here's my 92 bird. Bought it back in august in SC and drove 12 hours home to NJ the next day. The previous owner kept it in good shape. No leaks nothing. All it needed was brakes and a wheel bearing......and headlight motors but i got them lol.
