What is the best tint?
I've heard 3m tint is good but i can't seem to find it anywhere. And all i hear about the Auto store stuff is junk.. all the part stores near me carry the brand Gila. I've seen some rides done with some nice tint and look sharp, and others that look like **** because they look purplish and are supposed to be black.
I think im going to do my hatch in either 2.5% or 5%
and my door windows in like 10-20%

Re: What is the best tint?
Any tint that comes from a parts store is crap. Find a local tint shop, they usually carry better film in large enough rolls to not have to piece the back glass. Sydlin is a pretty decent film. I've used the same tint installer for the last 10 years and his tint is in no way crap. Also take into consideration that all tint will eventually start to turn purple (pur-pure as it is called). My tint guy gets 150. to do Camaros and the back glass is done in one piece..... not 2 like most places. Hope this helps!

Alright, I'll check over at Ziebart as they are the only place I know of around here that does tinting.

Re: What is the best tint?
Just get a tinter to do it for you. Tint is one thing that is best left to someone who knows what they're doing. Tint isn't even that expensive anyway. Besides, if you mess it up you will have to take it back off and then get off all the adhesive (that alone will make you realize it's worth it to get a professional). Just find someone who uses good quality tint and has a good reputation.

I believe you can find decent rolls of tint on EBAY..... me .... I have to agree that 5% is the way I do all of mine. My truck is actually layered double 5% and is scheduled to get 35% down the windshield!
