I'm undecided on buying a set of louvers for my camaro, so if you have a camaro/firebird with louvers post it please!

He asked it they are still made I provided a link showing that they are still made. I wouldn't put louvers on any of my cars, I don't care for the look. To me louvers should have died out with the 2nd gens. very few third gen look good with them on. but thats just my opinion.

as far as louvers in general, they dont look good, but I like the way they look on cars like kingpin's
if i buy them they will look right weather I have to spend a couple bucks on the right tone of black to match with my car I.E. satin, semi gloss, flat.

I've got a set forsale but all the way up here in Ontario Canada....It's also a three peice set, metal, with all hardware....looks like it was only on the car for a short while.

I know...they're the 3 peice thing, but they came with the car....I just want them gone. They might look kinda cool, maybe even if they were painted body color for a different look.

To tell you the truth, they are three piece. The sides are ABS and the slats are aluminun. They do come apart into three pieces

i just bought a brand new set in box from 1988 never installed, with the original receipt, crager brand.

 

I guess because I grew up in a family with tons of muscle cars that I would not say something as stupid as "Louvers SUCK". I agree that there not for all cars but a Third gen Camaro can pull them off. I am amazed that 82 Iron Duke sold a set for $500, some rich kid must have really want those.

 

do you have the mounting hardware? Ive been considering a set like that for my Trans Am... shipping might be too much since it'd be international tho.

Here's my pic of window louvers. The thing with rear window louvers, you will get mixed opinions on them. Some people love them and some people hate them. I like them only on certain color thirdgens.

I want a old CB Radio as well and I bought louvers for my 1983 trans am at $50 shipped. I am 23 and I grew up around classic American Muscle.

But the main piece got damaged at the corner during winter storage.
