Re: Chrome Fender Trim

Check out your nearest hydraulic lowrider/spoke wheel club....They'll know where to find them without pausing to think.

You won't find any here on TGO.

C'mon guys, to each their own!

You can usually buy stuff like that at your local parts store. I believe it comes in a roll and you just measure out how much you need and cut it and install it.

IMHO, it looks terrible, but it's your car.

Normally I'm all for that, but this is an INTERVENTION!

PLEASE don't banish yet another thirdgen to the r*dn*ck category. Chrome accents on a car made long after chrome died (or later returned) is just as bad as naked lady mud flaps.

I've gotta step in here.....

Chrome fender lips are NOT "red*neck" stuff. No way, No how. More of a Latino culture thing. Not that *I* am a red*neck, but I am from Texas (born & raised) and chrome fender lips will cause a car around here, to get "modified" at 2am!

Thanks

I had them when I first bought my camaro. They didn't look half bad on there (and two were rusting). I took them off with ever intention of replacing them with nice new ones. However, after a couple years of having them off due too a continuing resto., I grew fond of not having them on anymore. If you still want that look, JC Whitney carries them. If I remember right, they are kind of pricy for what they are.

Don't let people discourage you. Its your car, if you like them, go for it. I cut up a real 70 SS Chevelle to make a hot street car and I hear stuff all the time. Too bad, its my hot rod. There are alot of good, knowledgeable people on this site so don't let the opinons of some bother you.
