looks good, I use the 3 step meguiars http://www.meguiars.com
paint cleaner, paint polish, paint wax.
clay bar is great for cleaning it up real nicely.

I use this on my GTA. This stuff makes black like a god damn mirror and so smooth you wouldn't Believe. I love this stuff, I probably have about 30 coats of it on my GTA since I got it last august. I highly recommend.

It's not really the wax that gives you the shine. It's the surface prep. If you want your paint to look it's best, give it a good buffing.

Re: How do you get that SHINE?
mine does not look that good but even without a clear coat - it looked so bad i just had to repaint it know i was going to do it again later - but do it right - i found that mothers with the block really take the gunk out of the paint and lets it shine up.
makes you feel every inch of the car at the same time.
i cant wait for the engine stuff to be done so i can sand all the waives out of it and paint it right. intend to keep it the original blue it was when i bought it new.

I use a product called "Race Glaze" Its a breathable poly/acrylic coating. Its a synthetic polish/sealant that you just wipe on and wipe off. No buffing required. You can find it at high end auto parts stores that specialize in performance auto parts/paints. $20.00 FOR 16OZ. It gos a long way.

Re: How do you get that SHINE?
you really have to use a rubbing compound, then a polisher, then a wax to get a sharp, clean, deep shine. i have done this twice. i just did my 08 suburban last night. huge, huge difference. no pun intended. most people don't realize wax is just a sealer. i've had good luck with turtle wax rubbing compound/polisher in liquid form and also 3m. meguiars for the wax. my car was just painted and polished so all i have to do is wax. that's my task for tonight.

They say (detailers and AutoGeek) that carnauba waxes give a "warmer shine" than straight chemical polymers.
While I'm here to find a nice IROC, (so I don't have a photo), I have tried a lot of waxes and am happy that carnauba wax is making a big comeback after taking a backseat to these advanced coatings.
I won't mislead you, so I have to admit that I sell waxes. But the best I've tried is a German wax called, P21s Carnauba, (about $32) and I don't even sell it!

The problem is, it's very expensive. The secret is to buy S100 motorcycle wax made by the same German company. It's only half the price (about $15) and it is the same wax!
Is it OK to plug my own waxes?
I use Chemical Guys out of CA. They have a polish called Laser Buff that starts out like a compound, but as you buff the particles break apart and become finer and finer, so when you're done, you've actually used a compound and a fine polish. It's pretty cool stuff.
After polishing, I use Butter Wet Wax, which has a ton of carnauba in it, but also polymers and resins, so you get the carnauba "build" and warmth, plus the gloss and endurance of the polymers.
Oh and it smells like bananas too.
Next, whenever I clean it, I use Pro-Detailer spray. Which has carnauba and polymers in it as well. But if you have light surface dust or dirt you can mix it with some distilled water and it works better than a waterless car wash spray.
So the Pro-Detailer renews the carnauba and polymers every time you wash or spray n' wipe your car.
I hope it was Okay to post these links. I'm still kind of new here, but if I wanted info on a TPI, I'd ask a guy here who works on 'em for a living, so I hope it's cool that I offered my
