Why i need a garage(lots of pics)
Well, i have my car parked outside for the winter at my grandparents house and last night it started to snow. It was pretty bad and lasted until this morning. So i go over to my grandparents house to see how much snow is on it and here is what i find:
passenger side

Rear drivers side

front passenger side

Rear drivers side

There is about a foot and a half of snow piled on top of my car
. You guys without snow are lucky. Global warming my @$$.

and stop the cover from flapping in the wind
my car sat like that for 2 years WITHOUT a cover. It didn't do anything to the car, as there was no salt involved. Looked really clean the day it melted though as the snow slowly slid off taking all the dirt with it. Snowbar is the new Claybar? hehe!

Well you New Englanders know what I'm talking about, 2 feet of snow and I'm stuck, I forgot to move my car back to make room to put snow and when i tried to do it when it started snowing, it was useless. I also wish I had a garage. Ended up digging myself out today, luckily I don't driver her in the nasty salt.

Move to Las Vegas, it is dry and snow free all year round. I have lived there for 7 years and love it. Bottom line is the desert is the best climate to house your car, no rust, no snow and very little rain and dry! Ultimately you choose to live in weather beaten states. plenty of room in the desert states for all the third gens in the world..

Sure $450 a month is cheap for a 2 bedroom house with a garage and fenced in yard but I just graduated college and im done here no matter the cost to get out. Whats funny is three different friends I knew in CA have moved here. Im like, why? The cost of living.
KC has grown like crazy in the last 15 years. We never had traffic till about 10 years ago. Then hurricane Katrina and now the " second great depression". People are just flocking here. People that dont know how to drive in bad weather.

I just cleaned out my garage today to fit my Z28 in the garage but due to the 6 or so inches of snow, the car is stuck outside until the snow melts some.

jUst want to give you a heads up on snow storage guys.
last winter i parked mine outside. here in VT we get several feet of snow. normally i wouldnt think it would hurt it, but there was a particular problem w/ the nose on my trans am. As the snow was melting off the top of the car, it was gradually unweighting it and the car rose slightly on the suspension as you would expect.
The problem was that the nose cone was still frozen in a big pile of snow. this pulled the nose cone slightly off the front clip.
Not a big deal for me as mine is about to undergo a full resto, but it would be a bummer on a nice one.

I almost feel bad for you. Except I live in Buffalo and get multiple feet of snow annually. My car has been garage from just before first snow fall till after 2 weeks of rain (to wash the salt away) ever since I bought it in 2001.
