Wet-Look ClearCoat??

My father was telling me that he was talking to someone at a local cruise night last week and they told him that there is a new clear coat out that will give your finish a wet look. Anyone know about it?

If your car is straight and the clearcoat is colorsanded and polished properly, then I don't see how it is possible to have it look any "wetter". Sounds like a marketing ploy to me.

I just finished painting a dune buggy last week for a friend of mine... This is the top of the back fender, wet enough looking? hehe I haven't wetsanded or buffed it out yet. That's just your regular run of the mill clearcoat from PPG that they stopped selling in California a year or two ago.

Think that's what it was, friend of mine had a half gallon left and he let me use some of it it on the buggy. I tried getting hardner for a different brand of clear I had and couldn't I'll check on the numbers tomorrow.
