Anyone ever use Liquid Glass?
http://www.liquidglass.com/lgpolish.htm
I'm thinking about getting this and using it on my car, but I want to know if its going to solve my oxidation problems and clear coat problems, or just put a hard cover on the car.
So has anyone ever used this before? I'm about to start detailing my car again for the spring, but so far its not going good, and I'm not sure again what to use this time around, I don't have the time to do the near 15 hour detailing job on the exterior of the car like I did last year, so something faster would be a lot easier for me to do, and give me much better results.
for the help!

Unless the oxidation is very minor You're going to need a buffer and some polish. Liquid Glass is ok, but there are better options for OCT stuff.

Meguiars nxt 2.0 is a great over the counter wax/polish. It is easier to apply and remove than the liquid glass also.

Thats what I've used in the past, but I need something to cover up oxidation, and it doesn't work like that, I've tried 3M Rubbing Compund and it works until you let it sit for about a minute and the oxidation spots come right back.
Do you think that I should get get the clear coat stripped off of my car and the paint fixed up and then clear coated again? Think of the worst form of oxidation, then stick it on a red Camaro, and thats what my oxidation problems look like.
Besides the oxidation, the paint is pretty good, it just looks horrible because its oxidized so bad
Last time I got rid of it, it took me almost 3 days, and thats time that I don't have anymore.

If you can take rubbing compound rub out the car and your rag (what ever your using) turns red your beyond using a "wax"/polish" to help your problem of Oxid.
If your getting color on your rags your already thru the clearcoat.

Clear is completely gone on the hatch lid, but I did get it to shine up really nice with a good wax last summer, so thats why I'm thinking that a good coating like this Liquid Glass stuff would be good for it, act like the clear coat thats missing on the majority of the car.

Sorry to stray away from the original question but is the shine worth the stripping and applying of this liquid glass for car shows? or just stick to the 3 month period of carnuba wax for the shine?

Sounds like it's time for a paint job, liquid glass won't fix what's wrong.

I know its time for a paint job, and I want to paint the car, but for now to protect my baby and her original skin, I wonder what it would do...

Re: Anyone ever use Liquid Glass?
liquid glass gives me the chills, my dad works for a dealership
During the cash for junkers promotion when a car was brought in they had to overheat the engines and blow them up so they were no longer salvageable. they would over heat the motor then pour in liquid glass, let it harden slightly then continued to run the car til the motor blew.
My dad personally had to kill 2 irocs and a gta using liquid glass

I stripped my car down to the bare also, and used a polish then used Liquid Glass. It was impossible to remove and even after polish and wax I still had very easily noticeably swirl marks. Takes a ton of time to remove the wax I would say.

Re: Anyone ever use Liquid Glass?

before I used the wax.

After the wax, note: I didn't wax the front fascia yet, it is getting repainted.

Just after once coat, I am thinking about adding a second just for good measure.
