What Do You Think I Should Do??

Well Im just gonna be going with appearance so let me know what you think i should do?

I was thinking z28 spolier, rally stripes, 3" harwood cowl, and maybe new rims? Should I go with the blacked out look?
Oh and with the stripes should I do rally or hockey? Or both but my concerns with both is that it would look to cluttered. True or False?

Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks

Re: What Do You Think I Should Do??

edit, agree on maybe not doing the stripes but if you are going do them then do ralley but i would "probaly" Only go with a blister or stock hood then, if you arent doing the stripes then get an iroc hood/blister hood or cowl if you want. also i think you should black out the headlight buckets like the other guy said, go for polished wheels (maybe also add something like polished plate frames, billet emblems, etc.) or a silver/grey wheel, the z spoiler if you want. but if you get the z spoiler then your want a aftermarket hood or it'll look plain. but if i was you i probaly wouldnt do anything, its already hella nice!

Re: What Do You Think I Should Do??

Sometimes the stripes down the hood look crowded and out of place with the cowl hood, so I'd say either do the stripes with the stock hood (or an IROC hood) OR do the cowl hood.

I'm not usually a fan of aftermarket wheels, but if you get them, make sure they match the rest of the car's look. Do it after you have all the other stuff done so you can sorta tell what matches.

If by the blacked out look, you mean lense covers, tinted windows, etc, I'm not a big fan, cuz it sorta says "I'm a big spender at autozone" to me. (Sorry if that ticks anyone off)

I always like painting the headlight buckets black though, that tends to look good.

Obviously not the same color of your car but if you yous your imagination. This is what stripes on a cowl hood and the blacked out light pockets will look like.Shows how I did the rear hatch and spoiler. Also I have the new parking/turn signals in clear that really helped my car.

Re: What Do You Think I Should Do??

Since I painted my buckets black, I obviously like them. Although the red car above looks really nice with the stripes, I'm not sure the effect would be the same on the teal car - might want to search here or the net for a pic of the stripes on a teal car. To me, the black stripes really offset the red paint, and thus it's great appearance - but just not sure it would have the same dramatic effect on the teal.

Personally, I like the stock rims, stock spoiler, sleeper hood. Then again, I'm biased - since that's what I chose with mine. I did get an IROC hood with the louvers, since I just really liked it.

If interested, you can see pics of my teal baby here:

Re: What Do You Think I Should Do??

i think it depends on your wants and beliefs. i started to think about putting all kinds of stuff on my 92 rs that didnt belong thinking it would be better. but since my wife used to restore cars she told me not to. since i have replaced parts on it back to original. even went to replace an emblem on it that was different and she had me send it back.

since then i am glad i put it all back original as i have gotten way more compliments for it.

A hood will set off your car right, that will be your choice of style to pick a hood. I would leave the RS spoiler on there unless you plan to patch up the holes from the RS spoiler. Rims are fine but once again its your choosing.

Re: What Do You Think I Should Do??

Take off the interior trim in the trunk, mostly just the sides. Where each spoiler arm would be theres gonna be 2 nuts that can be reached through there and the last 3rd when you remove the tail lights and look closely around the curve of the taillights on top would be a plastic cover or cup that behind would be the last screw. Do that for each spoiler arm as for the center peice, they should all be visible when you remove each cap thats under the hatch deck lid.

So you have to patch up alot of holes. You can either have them welded closed or fiberglass them. Both if done right should be good enough.

Thanks. When I would get the spolier painted the shop would prob just paint over those holes hopfully. Anyone got an idea how much that would cost for to paint the spoiler, holes, and headlight pockets? I just wanna know a ball park range so I dont get ****ed over.

Re: What Do You Think I Should Do??

-lower it
-change rims (c5's 18inch or c5z06)
-black out headlight buckets
-tint
-no graphics. if you do i prob. vote of rally stripes.
-leave rear spoiler.
-change exhaust and cruise it.
