I was 14 when i bought my 90 camaro RS for $500, now im 16 and own my 90 and my 86 , glad to say the 90 was my first car.

i was 17 when i bought my 85 trans am, which was my first car.

 

what happend to it?

 

I was fifteen when I got my first third gen.. It was a 87 Firebird

 

I was 28 in 1987, I had a 1986 that was a year old when i bought it. I had it 2 years and had to get rid of it. Lost all my points on my license so i went to pickups for a few years to slow me down.

 

I was 20 when I got my '82 T/A. Its been three years since then, it wasn't running for two of those years but I still got it and won't part with it for anything. I plan on a full restore someday, little by little. Until I can afford it, I am trying to learn as much as I can about what I have.

 

I got my '82 in 1990 when i was 21-In 1985 looked
over an'83 z28 at i car lot,that thing was cool!-to hell
with '57 chevies,'65 chevelles,'69 camaros and all the
other cars i was lusting over up to that time-i knew
what i wanted after that
they were still pretty expensive used at that time,so
had to settle for a '69 camaro untill i could afford the
third i wanted,paid $4500 for mine in real decent shape
and 86,000 mi.(over 240,000 now)

 

i had bought an 89 iroc-z afew months later and than an 87 iroc-z with in a year afte i got the T/A so i sold it to my brother but it never seen the road cause he trying to fix the quater panles and never finish it so it got stripped and sent to the crusher, it was a sad day.

 

16 for my 92 camaro, 19 for my 84 TA, and hopefully this week for another

 

I was 15, and turned 16 2 months later. Got the Formula off my dad. Real quick for a 16 year old. Its my DD. Not so much now as I am in the USAF and it needs another new engine... so I think I may go Ls1 so I can go DD status again and the Ls1 should be real reliable.

 

I was 16 sophomore year when I got my GTA, I am 18 now and in my senior year in highschool..

Got a 91 RS with a 305 tbi and a 5 speed with t-tops!

 

When I was 16 I got my 92 firebird v6 and now im 23 when I got my current car 92 firebird convertible

 

16 when I bought my 92 RS. Only one of my Thirdgens I have ever sold.. and I don't really regret it. My first *real* (in my mind) Thirden was a 1990 Firebird. The Camaro was not a good car.

 

17 when i got my 84 Z28, 20 now and still have it along with an 00 SS

 

24 in 1988 when i bought my 84z, 45 now.

 

I can't lie, I'd still buy those cars you listed there and then some. I need a bigger garage...

 

14 when I got my 90 Firebird. 17 when I purchased my 87 Firebird. 19 When I purchased my 87 Formula 350. 20 when I purchased a roller 88 Trans Am to transfer the drivetrain from the Formula to the Trans Am. Also 20 When I purchased my latest, 89 GTA Trans Am. I'm now 21 years old

 

I was about to turn 15, it was a 92 z28, 350 G92 car.

 

I was about 16. My dad surprised me w/a hardtop 1987 white iroc-z when he came home from work. It was around 10 at night and he told my mom to wake me up and go outside.

He knew i always wanted once since he had a few when i was growing up. Lucky to have him as a dad.

Had it before i had a license lol. Later i had to sell it cause we had to move. miss that car.

 

15 and a half. For christmas. I thought it was a trans am so I didnt act as suprised because I saw the car alread yand told my dad I wanted it. Then I went outside and saw it was a camaro and flipped out. Totally awesome.

 

I'm 16, and I bought my 85 firebird almost a month ago.

Im not planning on ever getting rid of her. Might get another camaro down the road (two more years untill I'm graduated and done college) for a 383/auto project car, but this one is never going.

0, haha the IROC has been in the family since the early 90's, i was born in 96.

 

I was 27 when I spec'd, ordered, and received in the spring(?) of '83 a Z28 with the crossfire 305 engine. The thing I remember most about the that car was the mileage opposites. Around town I would only get ~16mpg. On the highway even at continuous 70 mph I would get 35mpg.

I was 13 when I got a 2.8 firebird from my brother. I was 16 when I got my 89 Rs comaro.I was 17 when I got my 89 firebird, which I turned into my race car. I was 19 when I sold the comaro to my brother (that he still has.) I was 21 when I got another 86 2.8. I was 24 when I got my 92 GTA L98 at 62,000 miles and I still have that car and it still runs great, it has 114,867 now. I don't think I get rid of this one.

 

Seems a lot of you where pretty young. What kind of insurace prices? Probably of parents, but if not, how much, or what would it have cost if you didn't put it on your parents policy?

for my third gen it wasnt much because we had the title in my moms name and i was on their policy.

for my 00 its a bit more, i'm still on their policy and get a student discount. but if i were to do full coverage on my 00 on my own policy it'd be ~2000 a year or was it 6 months..

 

was 7 when it was bought new in the family and i got it at 16 and have had it since

I've had my '85 Z28 since I was 15.

 

I was 46 when I got my 1986 Camaro right off the showroom floor....bright red. I'm 72 now and still love my Camaro. Had it repainted and the engine rebuilt and don't plan on getting rid of it. Probably it will go to my grandson. I've kept everything stock on my car (except a sun roof), and even the interior is the original and in very good condition....no tears or worn spots anywhere, and I'm looking for some stock wheels, so if anyone has any suggestions please pass them along. Trying to figure out how to send a pic. Anyway, she's beautiful.

 

Got my 88 iroc this June and I'm 19 years old after wanting one since I was like 17.

 

I got my 1989 RS when I was 16. Paid $900 bucks I had saved for it. And I'm 18 now.

 

i dont have any current pics of it, it was broken into and vandalized about a year ago so its mainly in primer and faded teal so nothing special until i graduate in dec and get a job

16 i got my first third gen, a 91 Camaro RS. I'm 20 now and bought a 89 Firebird about 2 months ago. Haven't even drove it yet, since I'm in the sandbox.

 

I got my 82 Trans am Recaro when I was 14. Dec 7 last year to be exact.
15 now and have 1 parts car and a 15th anniversary that looks like a parts car

 

I was 16 when I bought my 97 4th gen, had spent the previous 11 years of my life determined to get a 4th gen like my dads 93 camaro. The engine went out on her, and I worked all summer and got my 92 rs about a month ago now at the age of 17. And I haveta say, loving the v8.

 

I'm apparently an "old" guy as I finally lost my Camaro virginity at 30!
We had our 10th anniversary this year and I've been faithful the whole time.

I was 19 when I bought my first thirdgen. An 89 rs 6cyl 5-speed. Now 35 and on my 3rd thirdgen which is my 89 iroc.

 

47 here...and still am 47. I bought my '91 5 months ago. I was 18 when I bought my 1st car, a 69 Camaro 6 cyl 3 speed (RIP), and 20 when I bought my 69 Z/28 RS. I really miss both 69s.

I was nineteen when i bought my 91 z28 vert... Four years ago today!!!!

 

16 when I got my '85 Firebird. 19 when I got my '91 Firebird. I'm 26 now and still have the '91.

 

I was 17. i was diving an 89 gmc pick up and some dude T-boned me, totaling the truck. used the insr. money to buy an 87 LT with a 305 and T tops. i loved that car till i slid into a phone poll goofing off on my way home from work one night. just picked up #2 some 13 years later.

 

I was a few days shy of my 17th birthday when I bought my 86 Firebird. I'm 33 now and I've had at least 1 thirdgen at all times since that day, and I've had at least 2 since 1998.
